❗️CLARIFICATION ON JUMPING CLASS ENTRIES❗️

The jumping classes have been grouped in to two groups, to allow for beginners to have a section of their own. This is to allow riders to compete against other riders of a similar level to themselves.

Riders must only enter classes within one group.

Further to this, Classes 39 & 40 have limitations on entries in other classes due to them being novice classes within that section - this is also to encourage riders competing against others at the same level, and prevent people jumping the higher classes with a greater level of ability entering the smaller classes as a warm up.

The groups are as follows:

🐴 Group 1 - Beginners Section
(Riders under 12 years old. Aimed at beginners, very novice riders, riders brand new to jumping, and riders who aren’t used to jumping a course of jumps)
• Class 33 - Can’t Jump Won’t Jump (poles on the floor)
• Class 34 - Lead Rein
• Class 35 - First Ridden
• Class 36 - Step Up

Riders competing in the Beginners Section may also enter Clear Round (Class 37) & Pairs (Class 38) from the Main Section

🐴 Group 2 - Main Section
(For all other riders who aren’t competing in the Beginners Section)
• Class 37 - Clear Round
• Class 38 - Pairs (team of two riders, speed round)
• Class 39 - 35cm (novice class with no fillers or spreads, can’t compete past Class 40)
• Class 40 - 45cm (novice class with no fillers, can’t compete past Class 41)
• Class 41 - 55cm to 65cm
• Class 42 - 65cm to 75cm
• Class 43 - 75cm to 85cm
• Class 44 - 85cm to 95cm
• Class 45 - Chase Me Charlie (higher & higher)

There is also the option to enter classes non-competitive. This is where you may not meet the criteria for the above classes or be limited by the Class restrictions (e.g. you are over 12 but have a newly broken horse who isn’t used to jumping, you may want to enter the beginners section non-competitive). If you feel you would like to enter non-competitive, then please speak to a member of the team - we will assess each situation on a case by case basis and reserve the right to reject entry.

❓If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop a message to the page!

⭑ EXTRA SHOUT OUTS…
We just wanted to say an extra well done to two of our competitors - Poppy Wing & Molly Batterson.
Poppy’s practice is definitely making perfect, we couldn’t believe how Poppy and Katelyn were flying round the course today without putting a step wrong. We can’t wait to see you reach that goal of being at the olympics!
Molly came on newly broken Vera to test out the water at a first show. We think you both did amazing! It was great to see you making your way round the course, and we can’t wait to see Vera’s progression as time goes on.

There were a few falls today, we hope that those riders are okay and not too achy/bruised!

Thanks again everyone for battling through the heat and coming today! See you at the next one 🐴

⭑ THANK YOU ⭑

Well, it’s been an absolute scorcher of a day today! We hope everyone has had a fab day jumping - we have certainly enjoyed it, it was nice to see a few new faces as well.

SOME SHOUT OUT’S TO OUR MEGA TEAM TODAY…
⭑ Shanie - thank you for designing the fabulous course, as well as helping put it up and maintain it through the day! My right hand man!
⭑ Annie - thank you for helping put the course up, maintaining it, handing out the rosettes, and generally mucking in with everything needed!
⭑ Kev & Julie - thank you for helping with the gate, organising the cars/boxes, keeping the arena tidy & putting the course up/down!
⭑Lilly - thank you for helping with the knocked poles & handing out rosettes!
⭑ Jayne - thank you for doing the placings for all of the classes!
⭑ Jane & Chris - thank you for completing all of the entries for the day!
⭑ Netty - thank you for grabbing a bucket of water for the horses/ponies to have a drink!
⭑Stubley Hollow Farm - thank you for letting us use your amazing venue and jumping facilities.
⭑ last but not least… Lauren! Thank you SO MUCH for coming today and capturing these precious memories for all of the competitors!

The most important THANK YOU of the day goes to the COMPETITORS! We do this for you, but we couldn’t do it without you!

Today we have had lots of smiley faces and some lovely comments from our competitors and their families/friends. It’s nice to put these shows on so people can come out and have fun - no judging other people, just pure support for everyone!

I’ll post the results from today later on this evening.

We can’t wait to see you all at the next show! 🐴🏆

⭑ SHOW DAY TOMORROW - LONG POST: PLEASE READ ⭑

We’re nearly there! It’s show day tomorrow! The schedule will start running at 11am prompt. I will do my best to keep this page updated throughout the show to let everyone know what class is taking place throughout the day (just to help the people who are coming for the later classes - and to provide some pretty pictures of the course).

☀️ It’s due to be very hot tomorrow, please don’t forget to bring plenty of water with you for you and your trusty steeds 🪣🥤

🍽️ Unfortunately we don’t have catering tomorrow, so don’t forget your snacks and pack-up! 🍫🥪

❗️A reminder that riders under the age of 16 require a responsible adult, parent or guardian to be there for them who is age 18+.

🚗 Cars to be parked at each side of the hill.
🚚 Lorry’s and trailers to be parked in the car park (in a neat row at both sides of the car park).

📝 Entries to be booked in at the picnic table next to the outdoor arena entrance.
💷 Entries can be paid for by cash or bank transfer tomorrow.

❗️NO OVER-USE OF THE INDOOR WARM-UP ARENA. This is even more important with the current weather temperatures. Only use the warm-up arena as needed just before you are due to go in your class. The warm-up arena will open for BEGINNERS ONLY at 10:45am. We will later announce when the warm-up arena will open for all other competitors (this will be during the course changes for Class 5). We reserve the right to ask anyone using the warm-up arena at the incorrect time or over-using it to vacate the premises.

‼️ SHOW JUMPING RULES:
▪️Jumps knocked down = 4 faults
▪️Jumps refused = 4 faults
▪️3 refusals = elimination
▪️Rider fall = elimination
[if there is an elimination, the bell will ring and you will be required to exit the arena. If you fall off, you will need to exit the arena on foot and not remount until safe to do so outside of the arena].

🚧 Dronfield Bypass Closures 🚧

If you usually travel to Stubley from the Chesterfield direction, driving down the Dronfield Bypass, please be aware that it is closed due to roadworks from 6am to 6pm from 21/07/2024 to 28/07/2024.

An alternative route you can take is the B6052 (Station Rd) exit on the Whittington Moor Roundabout, turning down the B6057 (Brimmington Rd N to Sheffield Rd) and then heading through Unstone. There are a couple of bridges to drive under with height restrictions, but I’m aware double decker busses drive under them on their bus routes.
