Well.... The little stinker decided that momma's tail was looking yummy so I put a tail bag on her. Might have to put her mane up too.... We'll keep an eye on that. But he LOVES getting scratches and being the center of attention. He was pretty jealous and kept bugging me while I was working on mom's tail. He thought I wanted to play and he got a little lesson about manners. He's getting THICK!! This boy is solid. I'm excited to watch him grow up. 💙💙 I can't wait to throw a saddle over him one day. He's going to be a big boy!

Taken 4-19-24 So I gave the new kid a new ball. Lol! I think he might like it. 😂😂 He's definitely ALL c**t too! He's trying to get a little mouthy when you get scratching on him. I know he mostly wants to groom back, but that's going to he a no for me. He's gotta learn from the beginning all his manners. Really hoping he can earn the right to keep his family 💎👑 (jewels). I'd hate to geld him but I'll do it if they don't earn it. He's such a special c**t for me and turning out incredible. I'm head over heels for this little guy. He comes to the fence every day for me to pet him. He's so friendly and so full of himself. 😂💙🦄 He's a one in a million and I'm beyond excited to see him grow up. Really hoping to get him in shows when he's older too. 🏆🥇 He's already great with picking up his feet, leading and being handled everywhere. Still touchy under the belly but he's getting better. He's already gone for a trailer ride and did great. Hopped out on his own. I'm so impressed with this c**t!! Bugsy and Diesel did amazing! Sorry this is late but it's been a tough week. This little guy has just been incredible though. Taken on 4-7-24. He was only 4 days old and we decided to get him used to the halter. This was the second time that day to work with him on the halter and leading. Only spent maybe 10-15 minutes the first time. He's already following me and doing great! We even went for a trailer ride to the vet for check up on Monday and he walked to and from the trailer like a pro. Even ahead of mom in new areas and walked confidently like he's done it for years. He's picking his feet up too. Already doing everything like a full grown boy! He learns pretty fast. He's definitely full of himself and a stinker too. So we'll have to stay on top of manners but he's a baby and likes to play right now. Just going to have to make sure that play doesn't get out of control when he gets bigger. He's not going to be afraid of anything! He walks up to me too. He loves attention. 💙💙💙💙

Well, this is the really hard part of being a breeder.... 💔😭 Sonny had her baby about 1:15 a.m. 4-8-24 but it was still born. She wanted it to get up so bad and pawed at (wasn't being mean) and kept licking the baby. She's had several and never had any issues. It was heartbreaking to take the baby away. She's been standing where she foaled, all day so far. I really don't understand why things like this happen. She has been getting more food than ever since she's been home, mare and foal grain, got her 9 month shot (she wasn't here when the others were due), she had been getting bigger and bigger, bagged up and progressed normally. She didn't get wax but everything else was good. I know things just happen.... But I don't like it!! It's not fair to us or the mare. We can't tell her what happened. Her baby is just gone. 💔😭 I feel absolutely horrible for her.

If there's anyone that needs a nurse mare, please let me know ASAP! She loves babies, super easy to take care of and handle. She's a very very sweet mare. Very chill. So if there's a baby that needs a mom, message me!!

It's getting super cold and very windy out today so the little guy got a new blankie on. 😂💙 You definitely can't miss him. Lol! It has shoulder gusetts and everything too. Gotta keep him warm and cozy. This weekend is supposed to be kinda awful for weather. 🥶🥶 Sonny is due in a couple days. Hopefully she waits until after the weekend! 🙏🤞 I definitely don't want to be out overnight this weekend. It's going to ve brutal! Her pH yesterday was 7.2 but still no wax.

Weeeellllll....... After almost a week of sleepless nights, Bugsy finally had her baby!! She's technically 9 days early (due date April 12th) but she's been acting like she's ready for awhile. I'm just thankful that I was able to be out there and present for the birth and everything went well. He did take a longer time to find the milk bar, but that's typical for c**ts. Fillies are usually much faster. Lol! But he came out slapping and stomping the ground and wanting to stand up right away. My husband did help pull him out cuz Bugsy was having a tough time at one point trying to push him out. After that, everything went smoothly. She passed the placenta and she loves her baby. She's one of the BEST mommas ever!! I'll get some daytime pictures soon and add those today too. We did decide to blanket him even though it wasn't super windy or snowing. But it was chilly and babies don't regulate their temperature well in the beginning. We also swapped pens with her and Sonny. Indee was next to Bugsy and she was being her usual crackhead self.... Ran around some, nickering and trying to get to the baby. It really upset Bugsy and she doesn't like Indee. I didn't want her to run into the panel at Indee and get hurt or run over the baby trying to keep Indee away, so we just swapped and put Sonny by Indee and Bugsy on the end. Sonny is the only one by Bugsy now and they're long time buddies. Sonny is very relaxed and Bugsy doesn't mind her nearby. So this will be a much better line up. Technically Sonny was due before Bugsy. 😂😂 Her due date is April 7th. No wax for her yet. She's a super sneaky mare so good luck to me to try and catch her foaling! I've done it once before so we'll try it again. 🙏🤞 She's a pro, so I don't see any complications from her. It'll be great that the babies will have each other to grow up together. I feel bad for the baby that Indee will have in June. That one will be like a 3rd wheel. Lol! I really hope that one is a c**t. I was hoping for a filly with this cross and you see what happened..... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ But I'm just thankful for healthy.
