🏡🐾♥️FOSTER HOMES NEEDED♥️🐾🏡
We are once again at full capacity, our foster homes are full and we're being asked daily to help more dogs in need.

If you have a secure garden, time and patience and a big love for dogs, please consider becoming a foster home for WWP.

Ideally you will live within 45 minutes of our premises, which is near Llandeilo, or you are happy to travel back and forth if you are further afield. Dogs will be advertised for rehoming while they're on foster with you.

Food can be provided and medical costs will be covered.

We have lots of dogs waiting for their new homes at Tegfan that would be much happier waiting in a home.

Whilst in foster you will be able to tell us much more about their needs and how they behave in a home making it easier for us to find them the right home.

Fostering is very rewarding and has so many benefits. All our foster families are valued members of the WWP team.

⚠️ We know that some coastal vets have been posting about the dangers on the beaches, particularly Llansteffan beach. These practices have mentioned that they have had dogs becoming unwell after walking in this area.

😔 Sadly we had a fatal case last week 💔

‼️We must stress that we do not know the cause, or the cause of the other cases that have been reported by other vets. All we do know is that these dogs have all been exercised at Llansteffan beach, Carmarthen.

⚠️ We just want to make dog owners aware of this. We also want to remind everyone, regardless of where you walk your dogs to watch them at all times and ensure they do not ingest or come into contact with anything that could cause them harm.

💔Our hearts go out to all the dogs and owners that have been affected in any way. Please, everyone take care and be vigilant.

🤍 Our Bessie 🤍

It is with the heaviest of hearts & greatest sadness we share the news of losing our beautiful girl Bess.

Late Thursday afternoon, we had to make the most, hardest decision any dog owner will ever have to make! It was her time
🥺🌈🐾

Throughout Bessie's almost 13 years, she certainly didn't sit still for long (typical collie!)
She's been on so many adventures, gone on a train, been on a boat, walked mountains, explored numerous beaches & shared many ice creams.

Over the last 7 years of Cwtch Canine, she's made so many friends in your dogs! We feel truly lucky to have been in the position to bring her along with us to "work" & make so many memories together!

We are completely heartbroken and, as you all can imagine, slightly all over the place.
We'd like to thank you all for your patience & support at this difficult time.

‼️ WARNING‼️
We have another very sick dog that has been running on Llansteffan beach.

The cause is unknown but the symptoms are the same and the one thing they have in common is they have been to the beach !!

Please be vigilant when walking your dogs , making sure they do not drink the water or ingest anything.

The two dogs we have seen so far have been collapsed on arrival at the surgery. They become ataxic (wobbly / shaky) while at the beach and deteriorate very rapidly .
