Next Tuesday it's all about the early rotation front crosses in class! We'll be talking about how we can use our body to better indicate our turns, both big and small, while we do a cross. Check out this sneak peak from class! ~>

Hey there handlers! Today we are going to go over what an early rotation front cross is and what it's for. As an added bonus, we're going to go over what a r...

Love this! Not only is table trading a valuable life skill for self control while waiting other dogs run, but it's also an effective way to train! Even something as simple as going back to our crates to put one dog in and take another out - it takes time. Sending and recalling our dogs off a station/table can create a rapid transition between dogs. This allows us to be more efficient in doing many short training sessions with multiple dogs.

Are you training multiple dogs? See how I do this, there's a video of my dogs enjoying table trading that comes from the foundation of Crate Games.

Great job to everyone in advanced tunnels tonight Journey Agility LLC! We had a great range of novice dogs and advanced dogs in class and everyone rocked it! The young dogs were focused and having fun and our experienced friends did a great job testing & growing their skill set. I love this format of class with a little bit of skill work and a little bit of sequencing. Four students and 1.5hrs was definitely the magic combo.

Want to learn more about learning AND support a new vet student? I'm hosting a series of three webinars to go over learning theory/psychology for dog training (pt 1), teaching and curriculum design (pt 2), and motivation and practice (pt 3). Understanding "why" things work is not only interesting but also helps make for better practices! There's a lot of science and history behind behavior that can make a big difference in our understanding and approach to solving training challenges, teaching, and our own patterns of behavior.
It's $25/webinar or $60 for all three. Sign-ups are on: https://www.canineagilityscience.com/

Decisions, decisions.... but I love (running and making) courses where there is no obvious "right" path and handlers have to choose.
