Happy Saturday on this long weekend from Willow and her little crew of seven. Little feet and tails are so precious. 🎀💙

One of these gorgeous pups will be looking for his or her family.

We will not know which one until after puppy visitation and selection day on October 12th. It is important to us that everyone gets the pup that is best suited for them and has all the necessary information to make that choice. To make this happen, families on the list not only get pics but videos and information about personalities. Then they are invited to meet the puppies in person or do a video call (if can’t make it in-person) on the designated puppy selection day. Puppies change so much in the early weeks and personalities don’t start to emerge until around five weeks and are greatly showing by six to seven. Prior to that someone would be selecting based on gender, color, markings and/or coat only. While we understand that those things are important to puppy homes, we know the right fit is absolutely vital to long-term success. That does NOT mean that a new puppy is going to be easy. 😂. They are a lot of work in those first few weeks especially. However, we just want to set homes up for success as much as we can.

It would be SO easy to let people pick their pup when they are born or only a couple of weeks old. It would be a lot less work for us…no videos, no personality assessments, no puppy selection day and etc. We do it this way for both the pups and people getting a pup. 😊. Explaining the process because I know I will get the question of which puppy is looking. 🥰

Willow’s multigenerational Bernedoodle pups made their arrival last night. Mom and pups are doing wonderful. Five girls 🎀 and two boys 💙. All seven are tri-colored like their parents. We are thrilled with these beautiful little ones.

For now, we are focusing on mama and letting pups get adjusted. We also need a recovery day for ourselves. 🤪. It was almost 24 hours of being awake and on alert. We will get more pics over the next few days. If you have a reservation on this litter, you will receive a video before they are a week old along with a detailed email of what to expect from week to week. Go home date is October 19th. We will definitely have one, possibly two pups looking for their forever family.

Sweet Bernedoodle mama, Willow, joined us Monday evening. We are most definitely on puppy watch. Her official due date is tomorrow, August 22nd, and we have a feeling they will arrive by then. She has had us awake since 3:00 am being very restless and panting. Her temp has dropped into the 98s, which typically means within the next 24 hours, can be up to 48 hours. The temp drop indicates a drop in progesterone levels and that drop is what triggers labor. We will most definitely post once pups are here and everyone is settled.

We absolutely adore this girl. She is sporting her pregnancy groom. ♥️💙. Willow had eight pups last time. She looks about the same size as her last pregnancy so we are anticipating six to eight. If she has more than six, we will have pups looking for a 🏡. You will not want to miss out on one of these littles. This is a repeat pairing and we just can’t say enough about the pups they produced first time. They were a year old on July 3rd and dearly loved by their families.

Our fun loving, sweet and gorgeous stud boy, Cooper, says it is hot outside. He is hanging out with his family by the pool today. ☀️

Maple is officially done with her honeymoon. Mini Australian Labradoodles that will be due in October and go home mid December. Maple and Cooper actually look so much alike. Cooper is just a bit darker in color. We did dual sire Maple to Rufus and Cooper. Sometimes Mother Nature and life throws us curve balls. It was not our original plan but we had to make a quick decision. Pups will be similar in color and size regardless of the sire, only exception is Rufus pups can have black noses. We are thrilled to see Maple’s first set of littles. 🐶

Willow (Bernedoodle girl) joins us tomorrow for puppy watch. She is doing great and her normal happy self.

Updated pic of Remi (formerly Bee from Birdie/Rufus). Isn’t she such a gorgeous pup. It is amazing how much these pups change in looks from the time they leave us at around 8 weeks. Remi has been with her forever family for a month now.

So…a red mini female is probably the most requested pup that we get. Interesting story, we had one open spot on Birdie’s litter and guess who was not selected during the family visit day…Remi!!!! Of course, we had a young couple that was anxiously awaiting a mini female so they immediately grabbed her up. When I tell people these things always work out, they really do. 🥹. These families selected with their hearts and based the selection on personality and fit. They watched the pups grow from birth to selection day. They were given pics, videos and personality descriptions. One couple that had deferred on a couple of litters due to not enough females even selected a male! That actually happens a ton.

Find the right breeder. Be invested in their program. Trust your breeder and the process. It is a lot of fun (and work) bringing in a new puppy. Here at South Carolina Little Doodles we have both the best interest of the pup and you at heart!! We would love to hear from you.

Have spent the day with this extremely affectionate and petite girl, Maple.

She had her first progesterone test to see how close she is to being ready for her honeymoon. 💗 Not quite there yet but next test on Wednesday and should definitely be ready by end of this week/weekend.

Maple will be paired with Rufus (aka Bodie) for mini pups in various shades of caramel and red. Families are in for a treat with this pairing. Rufus will only be having a couple more litters for us before he enters into retirement sometime next summer. 💙💙

Our sweet, loving and life of the party girl, Maple, is in season. 👏🎉. We are so excited for Maple littles. Maple is the daughter of retired Sophie and River. Both her mom and her sister, Coco, gave us beautiful pups with sweet personalities. These will be mid-December go home pups. 🎁

It will be a last minute decision on which boy we use, Rufus (aka Bodie) or Cooper. We had decided on Rufus but there is a tropical storm coming up the southeast coast this week and Rufus lives on the coast and in the path of the heaviest predicted rain. We will have to see the impacts of tropical storm Debby before we finalize our decision. We do not wish to add any more stress to his family right now.

Either way we go, pups will be mini and in shades of caramel, red caramel, red (black nose, Rufus only) and parti in these colors (white with patches of color), some will have white markings and some may be solid. We have one more spot at this time! Who wants a December fur baby? 🐶 🎄 This would need to be a family or individual that is looking for a loving companion regardless of gender. I wish I could stress how much gender does not matter and how many times people go into this process wanting one gender and come out with the other. 🥰😊

I am not saying that these relationships don’t come with work! Anytime a puppy is brought into a home with small children it is critical that the parents oversee the interaction between the two. A young child can easily terrify a puppy with one or two wrong interactions and vice versa. However, it always worth it because it is such a joy for a child to grow up with a fur companion. ♥️

It is official! Willow and Brantley pups coming this month. 💙🎉💕. Tri-colored Multigenerational Bernedoodles. We are SO excited for this repeat pairing that produced pups with absolutely phenomenal looks and temperaments. Official due date is August 22nd. Both parents weigh around 30 lbs but we do expect some variety in the pups.

Sweet Ted from Faith and River. 🥰. We will be posting our plans for the rest of 2024 very soon. We will have only one more set of mini Australian Labradoodles that go home in December of 2024 (we are waiting for the girl to come in season this month) and we have room for one more reservation on that pairing (Maple/Rufus). Then we will have two more planned mini pairings for October/November that will be early 2025 go homes. Lots of room on those two lists at this time. The sooner you get on a list the better. ♥️. We will post pics and details soon.

Of course, we have the multigenerational Bernedoodles coming up too! They will be arriving this month and joining homes in October. We are holding off on any additional reservations until they arrive. She had eight last time, so we very well could have available pups but we like to keep it safe as we don’t want to disappoint families. We will be confirming Willow this weekend.

Puppy pic of Daisy (our keeper girl) from Willow’s first set of pups. She turned a year old this month but I love this pic of her as a puppy. 💕. I know there are several of you anxiously waiting for confirmation of Willow. I will be doing her ultrasound this weekend. Please remember that it is not only my schedule but her guardian home’s schedule as well that has to be considered and coordinated. In talking with her guardian mama, she is certainly showing all signs that indicate we will be expecting littles in August. I am just as anxious to find out as those of you with reservations. Expect an update by Saturday morning. 😊

I just wanted to update everyone that our sweet new stud hopeful has found his perfect guardian home. His new name is Whiskey and we absolutely love that name!!

This family is perfect! Lots of flexibility in their schedules, within 30 minutes of us, two sons and another small male dog. They were one of the first families to apply as well. I was just very slow due to being so busy.

We are excited for Whiskey’s new adventures and to have this family as part of our guardian program.

If I have not gotten back to you and you reached out, please know that I will email you very soon. We will have more guardian opportunities throughout the year so please don’t be discouraged as there are lots of you that I would like to speak with. 💙😊

One of these is not like the others 🤣🤣…

Sweet Bailey (male Lab) just trying to hang out and keep up with his two younger fur sisters, Ginger (Lily/Bowie) and Bella (Rosie/Rufus)! Bella looks so much like her retired mama, Rosie. Ginger looks like neither of her parents 😊 but the grandparents and great grandparents play a role in how a pup looks too. Ginger’s mama is solid white but her grandma, Aspen, is a dark caramel and so is her Dad. It is important to know the size and colors of the dogs in a pedigree. That along with color and coat testing helps to predict the colors and coat type you will get when pairing two dogs together. 💕💙.

A little girl and her dog. 🥹. This is the cutest pic ever. Bennie is one of our small mediums. Who is ready for some chocolate pups? I am debating a mini pairing later this year that would produce deep caramel and chocolate littles. ♥️. It is our girl, Lucy (Luna/River daughter from their first set of littles). We have not put her on our website yet but she is fully health tested, gorgeous and of age. 💕

We have had an overwhelming response to our post for a guardian home. I am working through all the emails, messages and applications. I sincerely appreciate everyone that shared and referred families to us. I can not imagine that we will not find a good local fit with the wonderful families that are interested, but I will certainly keep everyone updated.

We are still actively looking for a forever guardian home for this sweet mini boy (15-18 lbs at maturity). We have not named him yet because we are waiting on his people to meet him but it is getting hard because he will be 12 weeks old on Thursday.

So I have kind of dropped the ball on this one because well, life is busy. This boy is super sweet and playful. It took him a couple of days to get comfortable in our home (typical puppy adjustment) but since then his personality has really come out. He thrives on interaction with humans. He loves other dogs, loves to be held, sleeps at your feet and really enjoys toys. He would make a great addition to someone’s home.

Preference is an adult with a flexible schedule that is home a good bit and another dog in the home. Requirements are must live within 30 minutes of Florence and have a fenced in yard. We really love referrals and friends of friends that have a pup from us but we are open as it is the relationship and ability to work together that is most important.

A guardian pup is of no charge but it is a contractual relationship where we maintain the right to use the dog for our program. A boy is pretty easy because we only need him to come and honeymoon a few times a year. 😊💙

Retired mama, Lily, enjoying a day on the water. Lily only had one set of littles for us and had to have a c-section, so we decided to just let her enjoy her life with her forever guardian family. I have to say I am a bit envious of this picture. 😊

We will be taking our only vacation of the summer next week since we have a puppy break until Willow pups come in mid August. It will be back to school for our daughters very soon after we return from that vacation.

Morris (Maisie/Rufus) and Gabby (Piper/Rufus) hanging out together in NC and waiting for treats after a nice hike. Both are such cuties. Their families are great friends. Morris’ family referred Gabby’s family to us. So sweet to see our pups having fun together.

It is puppy go home day for Birdie’s littles. It will be an exciting and busy day. They have their bags packed and are ready. We will miss them. 🥰💕💙

Help us welcome our newest stud hopeful. 💙😍

He came to us from Michigan. Thank you to Clarissa at Monarch. He will be a small mini as an adult (14-18 lbs). We flew to get him yesterday and are spending today getting to know him.

We are looking for a local guardian home for this sweet and small boy. Fenced in yard, 30 minutes of Florence and adult with a flexible schedule in the home. Another dog would be a huge bonus. 🐕🐕

Update and Guardians needed…

Based on the way selections went yesterday, we do not have any available pups from Birdie and Rufus’. The red mini girl (Bee) ended up being available and we have a handful of reservations that want a female only. This family got really lucky because that NEVER happens! People genuinely selected based on the personality that drew them in and we are so happy with how it all turned out. It was a perfect day. 👏💕💙

We will be pairing our mini girl, Maple, to either Rufus or Cooper this month or next for fall to early winter go homes. We have room for 1-2 more reservations. Our website has more information.

We are also going to be placing a couple of mini boys into guardian homes very soon. We are actively searching and plan to bring one or two in this summer. If you are interested in being a guardian home to a red or caramel small mini boy and live within 30 minutes of Florence, please go to our website and submit an application. Puppy visitation day and selection day for Birdie’s pups. 💕🎉

On a little break so the pups can eat and recoup.

Such an exciting day for pups and families. Thelma Lou will be joining a family that already has a male pet pup from us. This family fell so in love with their boy that they are interested in beginning their own program with Thelma Lou as their foundation girl. We are looking forward to working with them throughout this process. This is never a decision we take lightly. After getting to know them, we absolutely know this family will do all the right things and has all the right reasons for wanting to share the love of these wonderful pups. ♥️

As a small in-home breeder located in Florence, South Carolina, we specialize in breeding our multi-generational Australian Labradoodles (ALD's) for temperament, health and allergy friendly coats. Our family of four absolutely loves the Australian Labradoodle breed. We both grew up with family pets of our own and wanted our children to have the same wonderful experience. About three years ago, we set out on a search for a breed that was family friendly, smart and hypo-allergenic (our oldest daughter suffers from pet allergies). While doing our research, we stumbled onto the Australian Labradoodle breed and its story. After extensively reading about the development, attributes, temperament and multi-generational aspect of the breed we decided to take the plunge and couldn't be happier with the choice we made. It was the perfect fit from day one! Our love for the breed is so strong that we now want to share the opportunity for other families to have this fabulous breed as part of their family.
