SNAKEHEAD vs ASIAN AROWANA! 🔥 Which of these two super illegal fish would you rather have? 🤔 @fritzaquatics explains more about these guys below! 👇🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s likely that this video was filmed somewhere overseas, but getting caught with either of them in the US can have some major legal consequences. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ASIAN AROWANAS: What is commonly seen as a sign of prosperity and wealth in many countries around the world is illegal in the US due to their protection under the Endangered Species Act. Although their population in the wild has been severely diminished over the years, captive-bred arowanas are what most aquarists seek because of their more vibrant, selectively-bred coloration. Tens of thousands are produced every year for the aquarium trade, yet they are still prohibited to keep by US aquarists. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ SNAKEHEADS: These fish are some of the toughest, fiercest that exist. They have an appetite for almost anything that they believe can fit into their bellies and officials have found the bodies of fish, turtles, and even BIRDS in the stomachs of these creatures.
