Alta Vista Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge We are a full (and friendly) service veterinary hospital located in the mid-town area of Tulsa, OK.

Alta Vista Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital that also offers boarding and grooming services for dogs and cats. We are open six days a week, as well as providing Sunday boarding animal pickup with appointment.

✨ Tech Spot Highlight ✨

Alana is a Pet Care Technician here at Alta Vista. She was born and raised here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She joined our team 3 years ago, when she was a senior in high school and is now currently a junior at Oklahoma State University pursuing her bachelor’s degree, majoring in Animal Science Pre-Vet. She is having so much fun and learning a lot during her time here. After she finishes vet school, she hopes to become a large and small animal veterinarian!

Angelina joined Alta Vista in 2023. She is from Minnesota, but now resides in Tulsa, OK. She has always loved working with animals since she was young. Since working at Alta Vista, she has worked with numerous types of dogs and cats while working closely with our rescue organizations and their animals.

✨ Tech Spot Highlight ✨

Cheyenne has been a Vet Assistant at Alta Vista since July of 2023. She has two corgis and one German Shepherd, a few barn cats, 6 horses, and a donkey. She enjoys training her working cow and reining horses, going fishing and hunting, s***t shooting. She also enjoys working on diesel trucks. She has her Equine Massage Therapy Certification,Veterinary Assistant Certification and is First Aid and CPR certification for pets. Her favorite thing about working with animals is how much joy they bring her. She is passionate about equine and canine health and putting a stop to any kind of animal cruelty.

Alyssa joined Alta Vista as a boarding tech in April of 2022. She loves having the opportunity to care for our rescue partners and client pets that come to visit! Alyssa currently has 2 rescue dogs of her own, California and Coco, and has been lucky to adopt many more in the past. She’s been working animal care jobs since 2020, and volunteering with animals before that. She works with animals, because of all the unconditional love they give, and hopes to improve living conditions for all animals. She is grateful to Alta Vista and all the amazing pets and people she has gotten to meet, care for, and learn from. She looks forward to meeting many more!

✨ Tech Spot Highlights ✨

Sara has been working at Alta Vista since 2018. She grew up in Texas but moved to Tulsa in 2017, She has recently bought a house with her husband Matt in Claremore. She has 3 fur babies of her own, H***h a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, Pepper a Blue Heeler mix and Gizmo a Pitbull Boxer mix and she aspires to someday raise ducks and goats when she finally convinces her husband. She obtained her certification as a Veterinary Assistant at Community Care College in 2017 and is now in her last semester of college at Penn Foster to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has been a jack of all trades over the years and has done a little bit of everything here at Alta Vista. When she is not baby talking your sweet fur children and caring for them like her own, you can find her cleaning or organizing because that is her happy place. Her favorite things about working at Alta Vista are the bonds that she creates with clients and their pets, as well as the bonds she creates with the many rescue animals that are cared for at Alta Vista.

Tou joined us as a Veterinary Assistant and Pet Care Technician, after moving from Georgia in 2022. His favorite things about working at Alta Vista are the connections that he builds with sick patients as they are being nursed back to health, as well as, seeing how excited the fur babies get when being brought back to their owners. A fun fact about Tou is that his first language is Hmong. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball and enjoys staying active. With 13 years of experience with animals, Tou is always eager to help in any capacity and loves learning new things. As the clinic clown, there is never a shortage of comedic relief when you are around him and he can always be found with a big smile on his face.

✨ Tech Spot Highlights ✨

Stacey is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has worked in veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She started here at Alta Vista Animal Hospital in January 2022. She loves surgery, parasitology, and nutrition. She has been married to the love of her life since 2010. They have a nine-year-old son, Chrisitan, who holds our hearts in his hands. They currently have two dogs, Onyx Rose and Pierce Wolf, two cats, T-Rex and Raptor Blue, and one bearded dragon, Charmander. When Stacey is not at Alta Vista, she can be found enjoying time with her family or wandering around Hobby Lobby.

Kennedy has been working with Alta Vista as a Veterinary Assistant since 2022. She loves making a difference in animals’ lives. Her and her husband Trey have 4 fur babies Boo (maltese), Yana (husky/GSD mix), Kiara (one eared cat), Nala (domestic long hair cat), and one angel fur baby Koa. Trey and Kennedy also have a son, Beckham. Kennedy enjoys working with your own fur babies and rescue animals.

This week is National Veterinarian Technician Week! To our amazing veterinary technicians at Alta Vista, thank you for your unwavering dedication, compassion, and expertise. Their hard work ensures your furry friends receive the best care possible. We appreciate your tireless efforts, whether you're comforting a scared pup or assisting in life-saving procedures. We are extremely proud of the team that we have, and they continue to amaze us every day. They laugh with you, cry with you, advocate for your pet and love them like their own.
They are the unsung heroes of the veterinary world, and we couldn’t do it without you! Our team is truly amazing!
