When Adeline passed I told Becky to please pick out a pretty urn that was more on the masculine side since Adeline was Daddy’s girl and she would be in his room forever!!!

As you know I just forced myself last week to pick her up!

I looked at the case and thought oh no it’s freaking plush velvet hot pink . Did Becky punk Mark? me? Marks going to be so upset.

Then I opened the most beautiful urn!!! Becky you did well. Mark cried when I gave it to him !!!

Adeline was an exceptional little dog that defied all by showing us her incredible will to live despite all of her obstacles.

I post this to celebrate Adeline. We were honored to live her and her us!!!!

Hans is one of our Hospice babies. He defied his time line each and every day. He stopped eating out of his dog dish. Well Becky fixed that by buying him vintage Corelli. Problem solved :)

He eats farm raised eggs from Deb another of our adopters. He sleeps on foster Dads lap and he lays where he wants when he wants :)

His monthly care is around $310 that’s without the vet visits.

Each time you sponsor one of our sanctuary dogs it covers a portion of their bills.

Klaus is alive because he’s getting amazing vet care and he has the most incredible sanctuary home !!!!

Each day is a gift!!! 🎁

Happy Gotcha Day Ladybug. If you recall this little Lady came to us last fall after her Dad passed in a Motorcycle Accident. Her grandmas Dogs were picking on her so they did what was best for her and surrendered her to CLHR.

TODAY she moved in with her amazing parents in Georgia :) Happy day for Ladybug 🐞. Bill and Judy Farmer are long time friends of Ladybugs foster Mom Deborah and could not be more perfect for her. She will have one very sweet fur sibling and the most incredible parents any Queen could ask for. She will be spoiled and that makes my heart happy. Congrats!

Thank you Deborah for healing ladybugs Heart and making this perfect Day happen for her.

Seven months ago sweet Posey went to stay with the newsome’s for a trial weekend!!!

Deb already adopted from us 10 years ago so I knew this would be the greatest home for Posey. Fred who is Clhr alumni loves his new sister.

Guess when the adoption was finalized ? Yep week before last!!! Why did it take me 7 month to bring g the contract over? Honestly I knew she was loved and safe and was being cared for. So the paperwork just kept collecting dust on my desk.

Yes I was a little mortified but Deb was awesome and knew I’d eventually make it over :). Thank you Deb for not setting me on fire for being so slow :).

It was so nice to see Posey and see how happy she is. :). Happy finalization day lol.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I have to be honest; I have been oblivious what is happening on the page right now. However, I did look at the Auction this morning, expecting a very low participation since i have not really been sharing it.

WOW, I am so wrong! YOU ARE ROCKING this...There are still two days left to bid and you are seriously doing an epic job bidding and sharing the Auction. I am so very grateful to all of you for partaking in our Auction..

I hope all the Ladies that sent in their pocket books are doing backflips for us as this is turning out to be an epic Auction!

Last night I drove to Upstate and picked up Hope and then drove to Foothills to pick up Rose Petal and Adeline. Yes, I have not been able to pick up Adeline until now.

By picking up the Urns it is the finality I was trying to avoid, however I had to be a grown up and bring them home!

These photos encapsulate Hope's personality! She was always exploring and did not care about anything in her way.

She claimed Deuce as her Daddy and he was very protective over her. It was amazing to watch them together.

When a dog was not feeling well, she was there and took care of them. If they wanted to or not, she would smother and lay on t hem :)

Hope was our first Bra baby, and she loved EVERY bra she ever met...when Julie came to visit, she spent her day ion Julies :)

I am sad today, but I have been smiling thinking about so many fun memories these dogs give us.

SO Today I will choose to spend with the many Dogs I have around me and will post some photos of our time later tonight. So many Seniors to enjoy today :)

Someone told me yesterday that we need to realize that we give each dog we rescue a chance at life and should celebrate each moment with them. I agree but that does not take away from the pain of losing them. I give myself permission to be angry, happy, sad and crying or laughing...I allow myself to feel it all and make no excuse for it!:) There is no blueprint for this. So, heal the way you can handle healing :) Come back for more of my insights and we will get through this all together :)

Sweet Eloise’s biopsy results are back. Unfortunately one of the tumors removed is cancerous.

We will need to have a second surgery to excise more tissue as the margins were not 100 percent clear. The surgery will be quick as it’s only one area that needs to be removed.

The good thing is that once the tissue is removed there is only a 20 percent chance of reoccurrence !!! I’ll take that !!!!

Eloise is only 9 years young and full of s***k she deserves all the time we can give her to live and sniff!!!!

Her next surgery will be at the end of July!!!

Last but not least Cookie :). Shes been spayed and ready to start her heartworm protocol.

If you recall Cookie was too thin and riddled with skin and intestinal yuckie. So we had to wait to spay her. So happy that’s behind her now.

Once she has had her heartworm treatment this Beaty will be looking for a home of her own.

Starr was registered with Evans today and did all her pre work for dental surgery!!!

Starr sure is a sweet little old lady. We will do full bios on all of our sanctuary hounds before the 1st of July. We have so many new ones that are not even listed yet.

Trixie did well on her dental :) she’s being extremely theatrical but we knew she would be :). Starr is hitching a ride with Trixie as she also had to go get checked into the clinic. Her dental will be next month :) busy with the oldies teeth :).

I would love for you to help us here at CLHR to Wish Kristen a VERY HAPPY Birthday! Kristen is such an integrate part of our daily mission.

Her dedication to Fostering, Volunteering and Swim Coach are truly exemplary. Kristen has a Heart the size of Texas and it shows in all that she does. One of the rare humans that truly is exactly as seen on FB.

Her kindness to animals extends to those people that she loves. She is very giving and hates to have posts made about her so this will be painful for her :)

Her dogs adore her, and her foster dogs are always a step above when they are adopted. The time she spends with each animal to make them ready for a home of their own is such a gift for these dogs.

Help us Wish Kristen a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Today we have three patients in Georgia!!! Trixie is up first to get her dental done. We are so grateful she bounced back from her last scare and is healthy enough to finally get her much needed dental work :)

The Outpouring of Love has been nothing short of mind numbing. Not going to lie, we are on the struggle bus right now. As our home adjusts I wanted you to know how much we appreciate all of you.

We can't read the emails, messages or comments yet. But know they are appreciated. The pain comes and goes but the smiles this morning are strong. We had 11 Years with a dog that was a medical anomality due to inbreeding. 11 YEARS! Not long enough but WOW she overcame all the obstacles laid before her and still made it 11 years!

In order to make it hour by hour, I have to remind myself how blessed we are to be able to love and care for these dogs. That is between the temper tantrums, throwing things and crying uncontrollably. Mark has been working nonstop dealing with his grief the best he can. This will not go away, but each day will teach us a little bit more of how to manage the pain and knowing we will be right back here again as we have a house full of Oldies...but the Heart Dogs are the ones that truly tear you apart and you all know this. I do not have to spell that out for you.

We keep going because if we stop it will all catch up! So here is to another Day missing our Babies and still getting out of Bed!

Sandy wanted everyone to know that she had most of her teeth removed during her dental as well as a tumor removed from her back! The tumor has been sent off for biopsy!

Dr Brown said she was the toughest patient she has had in a long time :). But of course she’s tough :) she’s been through hell and back and is now living her best retirement life in our Sanctuary program.

This little old lady is one of the kindest and sweetest Beagles I have ever come across ! She is a true Gem!!!

As you can see Simon is making better friends with her and keeping her company. This is helping him heal his heart from loosing his woman!!! Simon needs to have a thick biscuit to protect and clean. If Sandy allows this, there will be peace in Simon’s heart once more!!!!

Sandy on her way to the clinic this morning. She had a massive dental and a few tumors removed. Hoping her cancer is not back already.

Clinic called and they are keeping her overnight due to the severity of the surgery.

Please say a few good words and send some good healing vibes for this little old Lady!!!
