This video was from over a year ago and their personalities are exactly the same. Cassy is relaxed and adventurous and Abby is more the thinker, contemplating the situation a bit too much.

Anna is on three medications for her enlarged heart. The fact is that she loves them all. Unfortunately, Kita, her buddy, doesn't get them and she is jealous. The fun with guinea pigs begins.
Popcorn insisted on being allowed to roam the entire room while her cage was being cleaned. You can hear the wheeks of an amazed Cassie in the background.
Popcorn and Nugget were out grazing while their cage was being cleaned. Apparently Nugget has a habit of stealing goodies from Popcorn. At least that is the scenario I came up with Popcorn's flip and glare, that was repeated several times in their time outside of the cage. :)

Hi Popcorn here and mom wants me to be in charge of updating you all about what The Adventures of Sven and Family is all about and introduce the teams involved.
This has to start out with an explanation of Sven. He started this page and will forever be part of our family. Now many of you have learned to learn virtually this last year or so, so sit back for a shortened lesson in guinea pig genetics.
In the world of guinea pigs there is something called a roan. This is a guinea pig of normal color but sprinkled in the colors are white hairs and the result are beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that many breeders want to have roan guinea pigs. Unfortunately, not knowing genetics, they breed together two roan guinea pigs in the hopes of getting more roan babies. This is bad, really bad. Out of four babies, odds are there will be two that have one roan gene and have the white hairs sprinkled in the colors. One will be normal colored and one will be cursed with two roan genes. These two genes together, result in an all-white guinea pig with underdeveloped red eyes that are blind. Often also deaf, they frequently have dental issues that need a lifetime of care. But worse, under the surface, lies a host of medical issues, GI, respiratory, etc. The majority of two roan gene guinea pigs born are born stillborn and these guinea pigs are often called Lethal, as their chances at life in general are low and a long life is typically out of the question. This is just one reason knowing about genetics is so very important and breeding randomly is discouraged.
Sven was a lethal. He was born to a breeder and hidden into a delivery of guinea pigs delivered to a pet store. The store owner spotted him and knew no one would pay money for him, so asked a worker to dispose of him. She could not do it (thankfully) and sneaked him over to a dog rescue in the area.
