What happens when you put a neutered male into the same cage as two spayed female? Nothing but laughs. This weekend a trio was created and it is clear Casper as met his match with the two girls and, well, I think he is loving it. (PS, Casper is the one in the middle)

Hi, everyone. My name is Casper and I am the new addition to the family here and the first male here since Sven passed away. Sven was like me white with ruby eyes but unfortunately had a genetic issue that meant he was blind and deaf. Still he had a wonderful live and is missed so very much by those that knew him.

So mom felt she needed to adopt me to add some spice to the family. There are six girls here (all spayed) and I will be neutered soon so I too have a healthier life. The hormones in guinea pig tend to lead to a number of medical conditions and since too many guinea pigs are looking for homes, we here don't want to have any surprise litters. So we just will all be pals soon enough.

For now I am very happy and energetic. I am HOME!

OK, I will take the blame for not posting but as you can see Sugar is quite unhappy about the whole thing. That is a very unhappy face!!!

We are grateful that all are in good health, including Popcorn who is nearing her 7th birthday in a couple months. I hope to be better about posting in the future and I still remember Sven's love and how special he truly was. I also see that special quality in all guinea pigs. They are truly unique - MOM

PS. Popcorn here, and mom forgot to mention that The Adventures of Sven and Family has been targeted for by some not very bright spammers and I want to remind everyone to be careful of what is real and not. Be safe but still have fun.

OK, it has been a long time since I have posted but life is like that. During the last years we lost and gained and now we have six of us, in three cages. Mom got the order perfect and we are in a semi-circle so we chat and act silly all day long. I, Popcorn and my buddy Nugget are on the right side. We are the senior members now and doing great. In the middle are Abby and Cassy, our former abuse foster and now a very happy pair. Finally we have the two newcomers. One is Terra who had no desire to have a cage mate. She joined us last year. This year, Sugar joined us and is just a big mellow sweetheart. They both discovered that having a friend is the most perfect thing in the world. --- POPCORN

My sister Abby is a black guinea pig with some brown but very little. Mom takes picture of all of us and Abby is always the black blob with no eyes or face in general. The other day, mom finally got a picture of Abby that shows her wonderful personality. Enjoy -- Cassy

Sorry folks it has be awhile since I posted but we have been busy at home so no time for adventures. Well, that was until today when I visited ENGLAND. It was a smooth journey and while I didn't do much sightseeing, I did get this picture of me. Who knows where the next adventure will take me. -- Popcorn

NOTE FROM MOM: Today we cleaned cages and I put her in a new pen area and it appears that was a trip to England. As long as Popcorn is happy, I am happy. I too can't wait to see what her next adventure is. :)
