MORE FROM CABARRUS COUNTY NC HOARDING CASE: SUPER URGENT!! **Euth date 4/18 but could be put to sleep at any time due to shelter overcrowding*** Please remember our last two from this case were euthanized within days of being surrendered due to a large intake day and no space at the shelter. Please consider them CRITICALLY URGENT!!!
Cabarrus County, NORTH CAROLINA: URGENT! RESCUE ONLY
These are the next two surrendered from the Cabarrus County NC hoarding group of 13. Please add Becky and Amber to your radar and bring them to the attention of your favorite herding dog rescue group. These two are 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog girls. Sweet natured dogs but undersocialized. No aggression. They lived outside and were sociable with former owner when he spent time with them. Again, these are not aggressive dogs, but they are project dogs and will take love, patience and time to come around.
Please see pics and videos attached. HW test and dog test, and any other info we can get from shelter staff, will be updated in this post as we get it.
Euth date is Tuesday, 4/18 OR BEFORE. Please share these girls quickly as this shelter is experiencing large intakes and they can be euthanized without warning at any time if their kennel is needed for a large intake day.
<<>>
Our networking page is reaching out to rescues urgently to see if any herding rescues (ACD, collie, aussie) would be interested in rescuing these girls.
So far four other rescues have committed to 6 that have come in and 2 have been euthanized. We are hoping to help secure a foster home through some rescue for these two. We cannot leave them behind!!
Please remember NONE of the rescues can commit without a foster home to place the dog in, so please volunteer to foster to save a life. Contact your favorite 501c3 and offer to foster this and give these two a chance for a better life. Please act quickly as their euth date is 4/18 or sooner

One more from the hoarding case (total of 13 will come in in pairs of 2 each week).
This is Buttons. She is 2-3 yrs old and HW negative. Her last day (Euth Date) is March 21. That is a firm date due to shelter overcrowding. Reaching out to rescues urgently to see if any herding rescues (ACD or Collie or Aussie or other) would be interested in rescuing this girl. The family brought in the momma dog, Buttons, this week. Please see pic attached and also video. Like the others (her 4 puppies), shelter says she is reserved but sweet.

This is a RURAL shelter that is currently experiencing little to no adoption or rescue activity. The shelter staff are doing their best, however, and the place is busting at the seams with dogs! They are currently euthanizing daily due to space issues and the situation there is brutal and dire!
This girl should be considered very urgent. euthanasia date is March 21, and this euthanasia date is firm. These hoarding dogs are scared and shut down but not aggressive. . They lived outside and were sociable with former owner when he spent time with them. These are not aggressive dogs, but they are project dogs and will take love, patience and time to come around.
It would be a true miracle if rescues in NC could pull together to help with this group of dogs as they come in each week. Thank you and please share far and wide!

RESCUED
Cabarrus County, NORTH CAROLINA: URGENT! RESCUE ONLY
Two more from the hoarding case (total of 13 will come in in pairs of 2 each week).
This is Midnight and Shadow: Reaching out to rescues urgently to see if any herding rescues (or Aussie or other) would be interested in rescuing these two. Shadow is the one lying and Midnight is sitting (both one year old females and part of litter of the other 2 pulled today). The situation is as follows: Hoarding case…..13 dogs total coming in 2-3 at a time every Monday to the shelter. ACDRA pulled the first two dogs, Sheeba and Shelby, today. Literally as I pulled Sheeba and Shelby, these two (below) were dropped off and put into same kennel. This is a RURAL shelter that is currently experiencing little to no adoption or rescue activity. The shelter staff are doing their best, however, and the place is busting at the seams with dogs! They are currently euthanizing daily due to space issues and the situation there is brutal and dire!
These 2 should be considered very urgent. PTS date is one week from today, March 14, and this euthanasia date is firm. These dogs are fearful and shut down as they ONLY knew the man who had them. They lived outside and were sociable with him when he spent time with them. These are not aggressive dogs, but they are project dogs and will take love, patience and time to come around. Please see video of staff interaction with dogs upon drop off today. Again, there is no aggression.
It would be a true miracle if rescues in NC could pull together to help with this group of dogs as they come in each week. Thank you and please share far and wide!
