What is the Ultimate Gut Support? It's a blend of powdered supplements such as: LGLUTAMINE an amino acid. Lglutamine works in the gut by enhancing the expression of tight junction proteins. Lglutamine serves as a source of fuel for the cells lining the intestines, and without it, these cells may waste away.
DGL: The flavonoids in DGL are responsible for the soothing support in rebuilding and protecting the mucosal lining of the stomach.
Marshmallow root: Marshmallow root can help relieve a number of digestive issues including heartburn, acid reflux, diarrhea, and even constipation. Marshmallow root is an effective way to help treat certain digestive disorders, including leaky gut syndrome, which develops when particles leak outside tiny openings in the gut lining, allowing them to enter the bloodstream where they can trigger autoimmune reactions. Let’s welcome Chance of Rain aka Rain again, and see what Wynter Hays has to say about her!

Meet Chance of Rain (aka Rain) I have been so blessed to have welcomed her in my life Feb 2023 she was 19. When friends reached out to see if I’d be interested in taking her in. I was like absolutely. From day one spoiled her with HHH products. She was a little under weight. So put her on a good feed regiment of ours. Started her on Heavenly Horse Gut Support. Started getting her weight back on and skin looking better. With lots of support and love started to slowly exercise her back into barrel racing. Entered her in Labelle Buckle Series where she ended up finishing with the 1D Senior Buckle. Continued running with her throughout the year with NBHA FL10 to finish the year winning the 4D Open Buckle and checks throughout. Not to mention was able to run her at Youth World 2023. She qualified me for Youth World and Open World 2024. She’s always been so trusting, consistent and such loving caring horse. I love her so much. So blessed to been apart of her life and the opportunity to give her my love throughout our time together 💕

We have welcomed a handful of senior horses so far, and we still have quite a few left! So, let’s introduce our next pair, Brittany Rose and Frosty!

She's Gotta Hemi ( Frosty ) is 18 years old. This mare has been in my life since she was one and a half years old. My mother patterned Frosty in barrels and poles. Frosty has been our biggest blessing. She has won multiple 1D saddles and belt buckles. We have also won belt buckles in pole bending. Her last barrel race was at the state championship. Where she ran in the 2D. Unfortunately, we didn't make it back to finals. That was her last barrel race due to a career ending injury. We will always cherish every run that she gave us. Now, this sweet girl is living out her best life. ❤️

Here is our next Senior horse & Rider. Please welcome this amazing team, Dee Foster and Buddy!

Bud’s First Chance
“Buddy”
Buddy is my 19-year-old paint horse. I have owned Buddy since he was 5 years old. When I got him, he knew nothing. I trained Buddy from scratch. I had to train him myself because I ride with only 1 arm and 1 leg. Having my disability and riding horses is way different than anyone else. Only 1 other person has run Buddy in his life. I have put many hours of groundwork with him and I still do today. Yes he knows his jobs but I still refresh his mind every time I ride. Having a senior horse is a first time for me. I have learn that the older Buddy gets he has slowed down a little bit but he still gives me so much heart in and out of the arena. Buddy is trained in barrels and poles. I was going to train him to do breakaway but unfortunately he was abused by ropes when he was at training when he was a young gelding. So we stuck to barrels and poles. Buddy has a sweet personality but a spunky one when he knows its go time. He is definitely not a trail horse as he will side pass the entire way at a trot. Now that Buddy is getting older, I am way more OCD with him. He loves to get into everything, and I mean everything. You can’t leave anything out around him because he will be very curious. Buddy has a million miles on him and tons of places we have gone together. We have been to NBHA Worlds 3 times (2011,2013, &2018), FL State show 2012, all over FL races, and Texas for the APHA World Show 2021. He has won more money than I can count, a saddle, saddle pads, stable sheets, and huge title wins in Texas. Over the past 14 almost 15 years of racing buddy I have made it my duty to spoil him rotten and do whatever it takes to keep him looking and feeling his best. He has a great team behind him that we all love and support. My plan is to run him until he tells me he’s done. I hope to have many more wins under us before he retires.

Here is our next Senior horse, Please welcome Amanda Dobbins Willis and Cuz!

Cuz is a 1999 model. Although he is now officially retired after a health scare last year, he is still nothing short of amazing. We bought him sight unseen as a 14 yr old, after a call from a good friend saying you need this horse. He had been turned out for a couple of years, so the price was right. At his first vet appointment, he sat back in the trailer and escaped down the highway. I'm thinking, what in the world have we just bought?!? His quirky on the ground. Will not haul, tie or stall by himself. He had to have a friend at all times. But under saddle, we couldn't ask for anything more perfect than him. He has taught a few beginners how to ride until they graduated to their own rides. He has won quite a bit of money on the head side as well as barrel racing money. Cuz is the best babysitter to freshly weaned colts. Thankful we took a chance on an older horse, he changed our way of looking at older horses. Cuz has been a blessing to my husband and I. Love my old guy ❤️

Let’s meet the second senior horse Alanah Engh has in her life! Please welcome Rockets Deep Glare aka Rocket.

“Rockets Deep Glare” aka Rocket, is not only my heart horse, but the horse that taught be how to barrel race and what it was like to work for it. I purchased him when we was 20 and have had the pleasure of making his 21st birthday the best one yet. from the first ride, you could tell how big his heart was and how much he cares. He gives it everything he’s got. He’s been there done that. Rocket has gone to plenty of big races in his younger years but I truly feel that he is now more confident at 21 then he was in his teens. there will be highs and lows with every horse, but with rocket, the highs out way the lows no matter what. rocket had come from living in a cow pasture with no maintenance done to him. when I got him, the first thing that needed to be done is get weight on him and help him feel his best. with the help of Heavenly Horse Health’s products, it exponentially speeded up the process and had him feeling better, sooner. Now, when people see him and ask about his age and i tell them he’s 21 years young, they are shocked! I’ve had people guess he’s hardly double digits that’s how good he looks and moves. this is your sign, TAKE THE CHANCE ON THAT SENIOR HORSE! you will not regret it

Let’s go ahead and meet a second horse today! Please welcome Chance of Rain aka Rain and see what Alanah Engh has to say about her!

Meet Rain! Rain is 20 years old and one of the most honest horses i’ve had the pleasure of riding. She gives you her all, each and every time no matter the place, weather, ground, arena, ANYTHING! when she sees that pattern, it’s game time. You would never guess her age based on how she rides! She has won checks and buckles, her last buckle being only last year! I am truly blessed to be able to jockey this amazing mare. NEVER PASS UP THAT SENIOR HORSE!

Here is our next Senior horse! Please welcome Jayden McReynolds and her mare Bella!

Bella is 23 years old! I rescued her from ERAF in Palm City, FL in 2016.
I saw a picture of her on their page and knew I needed to have her, not knowing a single thing about her.
I drove across the state a week later and she came home with me that day! I never realized when she came into my life all that she would teach me. Once we got weight on her and had her vetted very thoroughly I decided I would get on her and see what she knew and learned she really didn’t know much. But what I did learn is that she was so willing to learn and was eager to find someone willing to give her time. We spent over a year learning the basics on the ground and in the saddle and then I decided to start patterning her. Oh boy is she fun!! This past season, she really found her confidence and is so eager to do her job! I don’t know anything about her past, except that life wasn’t very kind to her. And looking back, I realize due to her age, she was most likely overlooked by so many. I took the chance on an older horse and she continues to blow me away. I don’t take a single ride for granted and I think God every time I can swing a leg over her. I’m really excited to be able to hand her off to my 6 year old daughter in about a year and watch them be as successful as I have been able to be with her.
In the last 2 seasons, Bella has won numerous checks, 12 buckles and was the 2nd fastest horse in the Senior Horse side pot at Brandon Perdue’s Derby Days in May 2024.

My only regret is not having found her sooner but I am so thankful to have found her in ‘golden years’, literally.
Don’t ever turn a blind eye to an older horse. The amount of things they can teach you is immeasurable!!

Please welcome our next Senior horse Kev and his owner Kaylie Garcia!

cm colee freckles aka kev is 19 years old this year and boy does he not act like it. a lot of people are shocked when i tell them his age, since he doesn’t look or act his age at all. kev has always been all heart, no matter how much pain he’s in, he won’t tell you, he’ll just go out in the arena and give you his all. to this day kev is still clocking in the 1D with some of the best. at 17 years old he was 15th out of over 1,000 runs at NBHA youth/teen world, and 6th in the finals. he’s won numerous super shows, jackpots, qualified for the vegas tuffest, and the jr american. kev has made me the rider i am today, and i am forever grateful for him. he’s always been a solid and consistent horse. to me he is worth his weight in gold, and he owes me absolutely nothing. he is truly a one in a million horse and i’m not sure i’ll ever be able to swing a leg over another like him!

Next up, please welcome Candice Marie Jolly and Drifter!

My Drifter man is 18 1/2 years old! But it’s a secret don’t tell him that! He gives those young horses a run for their money! His heart is a size of Texas and runs with everything he has! Those older horses are just more seasoned! They are smart! They Will take care of you in a pinch. Don’t ever pass on well seasoned smart older horse as long as they have been taken care of and put on a maintenance program they will continue to run and be willing!! Drifter was my husband’s horse. I took over running him because my husband had hurt his knee. Now my husband cannot have him back. 🤣 He is my #1 go to Horse. He has put the fun back into Barrel Racing!!

Let’s introduce our next Senior horse!

Please Welcome Amanda D***s and Leeko!

Meet “American Classic Oak” aka Leeko. Leeko turned 21 years old May 2024. Leeko is owned by Amanda D***s with AT Barrel Horses. I bought Leeko in 2007, sold him (because I was pregnant) in 2013 and I bought him back in 2023. Almost exactly 10 years to the day after I sold him. I patterned Leeko and we have done really well together. Leeko has always been special to me and has always been well taken care of. He is still a competitive barrel horse. He was the fastest Senior horse on Friday at Derby Days in May, he qualified for the finals in the 3D the first go round of the NBHA FL State show this past June. Leeko is a cool, solid dude and I feel like he will let me know when he is ready to retire. No one believes me when I tell them his age. I think the older horses are special because they’ve been there and done that. They know the routine. They will teach your kids etc… I always preach to never ever pass up the “old” horse. You will have more fun and learn so much from that “old” horse! Buy the Senior horse, I promise you won’t regret it!
