Here’s a fun enrichment/puppy socialization idea that Adventure Trails Dog Camp does at puppy classes but could easily be done in your warm home too! If you have a kiddy pool you can fill it full of plastic balls and cleaned out plastic bottles. Then toss some treats in it for your furry friend to snuffle around in. It’s great fun for older dogs when the weather is poor! It’s also done for puppies to experience new noises and sensations!

We got to meet this sweet floof, Yeti! She has the softest coat and loved her squeeze tube treat… not our squeeze tube… but HER specific one from HER stash at home 🤣 Gotta love how particular a cat can be 🤪 and good thing we were doing a house call so HER treats were available 😅

🎄As you decorate your home for the holidays make sure you keep in mind your furry friends! Tinsel, like string and yarn, can easily turn into a GI blockage! 😖 Make sure you choose decor with your pet’s in mind. Whether that means avoiding tinsel or choosing ornaments that are unbreakable.. just in case the dog/cat wants to try out the new ball hanging on the tree! 🙃

It’s two weeks to Christmas!!

We will be working a short day Christmas Eve and we will be closed all day on Christmas! The whole team is back in the office December 26th!

Did you know:
😳Adult fleas can easily survive in temperatures as low as 46°?
🥶It also can take up to five days at temperatures consistently below freezing to actually kill a flea!
🤯AND the average survival time for a flea at temperatures between 46° and 33° is 10-20 days!!!

That means with our average winter temperatures here on Whidbey we never truly are flea free in the winter especially when the average home is kept around 68-72°.

Year round flea prevention is recommended in our region because, although the life cycle is slower in the winter, the fleas are never really gone.
