Wendy is our 18 month-old Black Lab mix 🩷
She’s super playful and good with kids and dogs. We tested her with cats a while ago, and she was fine with a supervised introduction.
She is not a fan of men for some reason. She’s never been mistreated, so we have. no idea why.

Mackie has been with us for a while. Her people had to move, and due to a severe housing shortage, we're okay with finding her a home.
She's about five years old, is very sweet and cuddly. She likes most other dogs, and humans of all ages.

Stella is her sister, and both girls have great personalities.

Stella is about 5 years old, and is more than ready for a family.
She arrived at Dog Town a year ago, with the condition that her people find a place to live where they could have her within a year.
She's been kenneled with two siblings, and not much exercise, so she's gotten a bit chunky.
We just love her sweet personality and think you will too.

Good morning, Maggie! She’s one of the feral dogs we trapped earlier this year 😀 She’s making good progress thanks to our volunteers, and your support.

We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved Trooper is now with the angels. He had a massive seizure and a stroke from which he never recovered. We grieve with our Dog Town family, and are thankful to Dr. Lesli Hewitt-Spears at Quail Ridge Animal Hospital for helping us give him the best life ever.

Trooper thanks everyone for donating to his dental fund 😊

Here's Jupiter before we got him. He was in a foster home for a different rescue, and they were unable to keep him. He's a great guy, needs time to adjust to new people. Not particularly good with other dogs, as Anatolian Shepherds were bred to be livestock guardians. He's protective, playful, and would be a loyal family dog. He also loves playing in his wading pool. Here’s our new girl. No teats, no lactating, thank our lucky stars. She’s very young, teeth as white as ivory 🐾

And a quick update on Big Daddy 🐾 He’s starting to wag his tail and smile when he sees us coming. Baby steps 😊

And a quick update on Big Daddy! He’s really made good progress and has started wagging his tail (and smiling 😄) when he sees us.

Maggie came to Dog Town on February 3rd. We trapped her, and her buddy, Big Daddy, near the dead cow they’d been surviving on. She’s come such a long way since then. She’s learning to trust, and that it’s a good thing to be near people.

Miss Maggie came to Dog Town (with Big Daddy) after we managed to trap them near the dead cow they were surviving on. She’s made great strides, is learining to trust, and even enjoy human contact.

We’ve been working to earn the trust of these two for a while now. They’re getting braver, so we’ll probably get our traps out Saturday morning. They’re out by the same dead cow where we got Maggie and Big Daddy. Thank you to Karen and Truffles for donating the treats ❤️
