💥 URGENT Foster-to-adopt Home needed in California immediately.💥

We have a very sweet 8 to 9 month old female Dogo that needs placement in a home that has experience with large dogs or similar breed experience. Her ideal home would be very active where she will be getting plenty of exercise and stimulation. A friendly male dog would be OK but no other female dogs. We are looking for a home with no small children, older children would be fine.

Our California team has been working in the background trying to help as many Dogos as possible even though we are technically supposed to be on an intake freeze in California.

We thought we had a great foster to adopt home lined up for this sweet girl but they ended up flaking last week! She urgently needs to move ASAP.

Neighboring states to California will also be considered!

Remember Ghost from the Collier shelter in Naples? He is now part of the DC Dogos family and his new name is Marco. This beautiful boy was turned in as a stray and no one came for him. His time at the shelter was becoming urgent so we knew we had to act quick and get him out of there. He was one of the volunteer's favorites, and everyone advocated for him. After spending time with this handsome dude, we can see why he is so loved by everyone who meets him. Marco is a really lovely boy with nice manners. Someone has put work into training him because he's so well-behaved. He knows basic obedience; walks amazingly on a leash, is non-reactive to other dogs, and is pretty mellow. We estimate him to be between 2-3 years old. Unfortunately, Marco is heartworm positive 😞. Nothing we haven't dealt with before so we will get him through this. Right now Marco needs a medical foster to get him through his HW treatment which usually lasts about 2 months. Type of foster home he needs:

🔸Has the ability to keep dogs separated especially during heartworm treatment. (He hasn't been officially dog tested)
🔸No small kids (no history with them)
🔸No cats (no history with them)
🔸Quiet space for his kennel/crate

We prefer to keep Marco in FL if at all possible but out-of-state fosters will be considered if you are fostering to adopt. He is currently located in Sarasota. We would love to get him out of boarding and into a home ASAP. Please fill out a foster application if you are interested in helping Marco.

We are really overwhelmed with the number of Dogos getting surrendered and can't help without fosters & donations. Marco's boarding fees are adding up and will need HW treatment soon. Any amount helps🙏.
