A Little Info
We are a 501c3 organization dedicated to rescuing dachshunds in Tennessee and surrounding states. We are a group of volunteers in various cities and we depend on a strong people network to be successful. Our dogs come from many situations and we do not always know their history. We match our animals to adopters based on a detailed application and interview process including, family situation & life style, as well as the dog’s temperament and other special needs. Home visits are required in order to adopt. You can find the applications for volunteering, fostering or adopting at www.tndachshundrescue.com.
We usually have a waiting list for younger dogs, but there are so many “older” doxies that are incredible pets just waiting to be loved. Since it isn’t unusual for smaller breeds to live 16+ years, an 8 or 9 year old dog is still active and has lots of love to give. If you are considering adopting please don’t limit yourself to a specific dog.
