Hi all,
Everything apart from the Prizegiving album is now uploaded and available to buy.
Please note that prices are for personal use only; I don’t mind if you purchase an image and share it on social media, but buying a single digital image for £10 with the intention of printing multiple A4/A3 size images from it to distribute does not constitute personal use.
If you do wish to create multiple prints there are two options: 1) you can purchase the image from me for £10 multiplied by the number of seats in the boat, including coxes, and have it printed yourself (this goes some way towards compensating me), or 2) I can produce prints myself for you on request (£10 for 7” x 5”, £15 for A4, £20 for A3). For a one-off extra £10 I can title the larger prints with Henley Royal Regatta, the event, your club and the names of the crew and coach.
Shooting the Qualifiers and the regatta has involved using ¼ of my annual leave, over 1000 miles of travel, 80+ hours of work and 20+ hours travel time, so it’s a significant investment in terms of time and money (my direct expenses stand at over £300). There’s no way I’ll make back remotely enough from photo sales to justify this but I shoot the sport because I love it and because so many of you have commented to me how much you appreciate the photos and the support I’ve given some of you.
With that thought it mind, it’s been a pleasure to catch up with so many ‘old’ friends again and to make many new ones. For those of you I arranged Stewards’ Enclosure tickets for, I hope you had a lovely time in spite of the occasional shower. A number of you offered to buy me a drink as a thank you but sadly I work through most lunch/tea intervals. Thank you for the offer anyway.
If your season hasn’t yet finished, good luck with the remainder of it, be that in the UK or overseas, and I look forward to seeing many of you again, either whilst I’m holding a camera or waving flags in an umpiring capacity.
I’m going to start working on photo orders now and turn things around as quickly as I can (as of tomorrow I’m back at “the day job” so can only work on orders in the evenings), and thank you all for making it a Henley to remember!
