A good reminder of why we shouldn't over exercise our puppies.

This is an X-ray of a puppy at 2 weeks old - just look to see how far the bones have to grow to just become proper bony joints, let alone become strong articulating joints that have correct feedback into the brain... this is why it is imperative that we don't over-exercise our puppies, and certainly not jump them or train them too hard before they are fully developed. This is different age categories for different breeds, and if the dog has had any specific problems during it's puppyhood. Please be careful at this stage so the dog's joints will last well as they age! Longevity is key!

Boudivella Fire Cracker 1st Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy in Breed today at Midland Counties. Boudivella Love Story aka Bruce 2nd Puppy Dog. He took his first show in his stride today and Im so looking forward to showing him this year.
I forgot to Nellie also took 3rd place in the Eukanuba Puppy Stakes. A big class of mixed terrier puppy’s and then 5th in the mixed breed Junior Stakes. She had a fab day.

The Boudivella - Glen of Imaal Terriers were at Leicester City Canine Society Show today.
Boudivella Fire Cracker (Nellie) was 1st AVNSC Puppy, Best Puppy and placed Puppy Group 3
Boudivella Rosie 1st Open AVNSC Best of Breed and Terrier Group 4.
Many Thanks to the Terrier Judge today was Mark Ord for thinking so highly of my dogs.

The most amazing day for the Boudivella Team today at Horley & Dist Show Society Premiere Open Show. The day started with Boudivella Rosie in a Junior Warrant Heat. She Qualified as a reserve for the Semi Final for Crufts 2025.
Huge thank to Judge Nicole Coe for awarding her.
The Breed Class judged by Philip Fricker. Boudivella Fire Cracker Best Puppy and Reserve Best of Breed. Going on to place Terrier Puppy Group 4 and the Reserve BOB Group she took Group 2 under Judge Nicola Gostet. Finally 2nd AV Puppy.
Boudivella Osca 1st Open Dog & BEst of Breed. Thank you Gordon Frasier for handling in the line up. Osca went on to take Terrier Group 4. All now totally shattered after such a long day. Let’s see what tomorrow’s show brings us.

This is so true, as breeders we have the interests of a puppy and the new families that they are suited to each other. No breeder wants a puppy or family to be unhappy. Some puppies are quiet, some confident, some feisty we observe and learn in the short period they are with us. This is why you maybe asked lots of questions when you enquire about adding a puppy to your family. If you don't trust your breeder to offer the correct puppy don't buy one. Equally if the breeder is not happy your are the right person for their puppy don't be offended, another one at another time could be. Alternatively you could buy from another breeder who doesn't care and just wants your money.

A big apology for the length of this post. Our day at the Welsh Kennel Club show was so special for The Boudivella Family.

Mo Stor Ailin Of Tatler Jack's Clann at Boudivella- 2nd - her first show after her puppies. Willow was so excited and happy to be out again.
Boudivella Osca- 1st Veteran, Best Dog, Best of Breed. A huge thank you to our Judge Mr Jeff Luscott for thinking so highly of Osca and my girls.
Well done to everyone else on your results. Biggest heart felt congratulations to Amhard Quick Sand aka Elfie for gaining her last CC to become a Champion 🐶🏆🐶
Osca’s win today ends a little ambition I had and a fitting end to slowing down his career. He is not ready to retire yet. 🥇🥈🥉🏅🎖️
He has now Won Best of Breed at all the 12
Championship Shows we attend across the year that Have CC’s. He has also got the set of BOB at the non CC Champ Show where There are Glen Classes and nearly Best Veteran at these shows too with only 2 more required. I don’t include Belfast as we don’t do that one. Osca has been in the show ring for 9 years and still loves strutting his stuff. His favourite place is the Terrier Group where he loves knowing he has an audience.
We are a small breed and they are like family.
We probably see more of each other than our families. It’s not an easy hobby. Early mornings long drives and late home. Well done everyone keep on attending and supporting each other, your dog show dreams can come true in the end.

Boudivella Fire Cracker was a star today she was Best Terrier AVNSC Puppy and won Terrier Puppy Group 3 at WALSALL & DISTRICT KENNEL ASSOCIATION - Open show.

Leeds Championship Show produced amazing results for Boudivella Glens, with Huge Thanks to Judge Paul Eardly for thinking so highly of our dogs.
Rosie 1st Limit Bitch, Best Bitch & BOB and this will make her a Champion subject to KC.

Osca 1 Veteran BVIB.
