These babies need to find a new home, preferably together. Their mom is sick and can no longer care for them. Milo and Maylee are 3yrs old, both are friendly, playful and loving. Look at those faces. They need to be spayed and neutered which will be taken care of asap. Please, we know its a big ask to take in 2 large dogs but its not impossible and they will give you so much love in return.

Honor your babies especially as seniors. A shelter is no place for a senior, its no place for any dog but its even harder on seniors. Maybe its a little more work to care for a senior but the rewards are huge. Be with them and love them till the very end because thats how its supposed to be ❤️

Sweet Louie had his snip snip this week and at first he wouldn’t even look at us but as you can see here, he got over it quickly. The good news is, he is now ready for adoption! Louie is ALL puppy right now at about 7-8 months old and 10lbs, he LOVES to explore and run around outside. He has a good amount of energy but still takes his long puppy nap during the day. We are working on crate training and he is doing great. Gets along with everyone and still learning how to respect personal space, we are working on it and I am very hopeful. He does give the best puppy kisses and is guaranteed to make you smile every day. If you are interested in making Louie a part of your family, please go to our website to fill out an application.

Everyone welcome Prince! Look at this sweet boy! He is 5 months old and 8lbs. Surrendered to the shelter for being a happy puppy. We will give him a couple of weeks to decompress, have him neutered and he will be available for adoption. We can’t wait to meet you Prince ❤️

We have got to do better! Please stop surrendering your dogs! They are not objects! They are supposed to be members of your family. Don’t surrender your dog for “no time” because I assure you, your dog would much rather wait on the couch for you all day and get some love when you do get home instead of being in a loud, dirty, scary shelter just waiting to die because they need the space. This is just unacceptable👇👇

Due to a population crisis, we cannot accept dog surrenders at all locations until further notice. We care about our community and understand the challenges our clients face. We are actively seeking solutions to this issue and hope to open again soon. For more information, please visit https://www.nycacc.org/critical-capacity,

While we cannot accept dog surrenders, ACC can support you in the following ways:
Veterinary Care
Behavior Training or Counseling
Pet Food and Supplies
Assistance with Housing Issues

To utilize any of the above resources, please email [email protected]
If you have exhausted all possible options and still need to surrender your dog, please call us at (212) 788-4000.

In the meantime, please consider adopting or fostering! All available dogs are on nycacc.app.

Its OFFICIAL! Leo aka Pumpkin is home! He watched as the adoption contract was signed and then gave out some kisses. Leo’s family are prior adopters so he has a canine brother named Scoops. Both pups are beyond loved and so lucky. Be happy sweet boy and thank you to your family for giving you such an amazing life.

What’s better than an adoption? One with a wonderful family that has adopted from us before. Little man Charlie went to his amazing forever home last night and he now has a fur sister Layla. This little boy kept us on our toes for weeks because he was so sick but he truly fought back and deserves nothing but the best. We miss you Charlie and all your hugs and paw pats. You are so loved. Be happy! 🐶🐾❤️

Update on Charlie - I’m sorry, I meant to put this out last week but it was such a looong week. Since we last updated, Charlie had to go to our regular vet because he just was not getting better. Every morning, he would wake up and have a ton of green snot all over his face. We truly have never had a pup been sick this long, its was 2 weeks and we were concerned it may have turned into pneumonia. So we left the vet with 2 antibiotics. One day after visiting the vet, we were back at the er (everything happens after hours of course) because we had a little situation in the private part area 😳. I won’t embarass him but will say that he had a group of female vets and techs tending to him and they had him feeling better within a couple of hours. It didn’t hurt that he is super cute and they all fell in love with him. So, in total, we had 2 er visits and 1 regular vet visit and he is FINALLY feeling better and actually barked for the first time yesterday. He is a super good boy. Seems to be housebroken and loves to cuddle. We are just starting to see his true personality come out as he gets better. Thank you to Veterinary Emergency Group in Greenwich for being so kind each time.

Charlie will be ready for adoption in a couple in about 3-4 weeks.

Update on Charlie - so from the second I picked him up I knew he was sick. Charlie has kennel cough and he just is not feeling good. He has been a little growly but more of a “I’m scared, I’m hurting from being neutered and I really don’t feel good” type of growl because if he wanted to bite, he has had plenty of opportunities. He really just wants to be loved. We allow all new pups to decompress and we keep them separate from all the others for about 10 days and when they are sick, its a little longer. He crawls into our laps and literally just wants to stay there. The good news is he is eating and drinking on his own which is huge with kennel cough. Below are a few pics so you can see just how cute he is. We will update again by the end of the week.

Look who’s been ADOPTED! Braille has been waiting over a year and a half to find his forever home. He was so happy last night we could barely get him to sit still for a family picture. If anyone has met Braille you would know that he is ALWAYS super happy and eager to show you. He now has a new sister also. Oh sweet boy, your presence was certainly missed last night and this morning but you are where you are meant to be. We love you! Be happy!

Our Story

http://www.savingpawsrescue.org We rescue dogs and cats in need and work to find them great homes. From rescue to forever home, we care for them every step of the way.

Saving Paws Rescue, Inc. is 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue organization. Run entirely by volunteers, we rescue, care for and find homes for dogs and cats. The animals that we rescue are saved from kill-shelters and other circumstances. We are committed to our animals from rescue to forever home. Saving Paws Rescue, Inc. is devoted to rescuing all animals in need, regardless of breed, age or medical status. We do not have a central facility for our dogs and cats; they are all placed in foster homes. We adopt our animals to homes within 90 miles of White Plains, NY.

Our rescue animals receive good food, medical care, training where necessary, and tons of love. We cannot do this without your support - food, medicine, vet visits, and training are all expensive. Please help us continue to help these abandoned and neglected pups. Thank you.
