This is a great rescue which is run with only the dogs best interests at heart. I will be donating - if anyone can donate anything Iâm sure it would be really appreciated right now.
These two gorgeous pups were found dumped in Kent and we so wanted to help. They are only 6-7 months old and having spent a month already in kennels, their future was looking very bleakđą Iâm going to be very honest here and those who know me, know thatâs my best policy! I am at breaking point. I know every rescue is feeling the same. We have no funds, we now have no kennels and we now have so many more dogs needing help. What do we do?? Iâve wanted to give up rescuing for a while now as itâs impacting my life in a huge way and has been for the past 10 plus years and itâs finally taking its toll. So many people tell me to walk away and I promise you with the way I currently feel, I am so exhausted, mentally, emotionally and physically. I so wish I could. I donât sleep thinking about all the dogs I know need help on a daily basis. The many calls we get daily, the emails, the personal tags and knowing we cannot help them all literally breaks my heart đ I cry most nights at some of the images and stories I hear and then I donât sleep worrying about the dogs. Iâm a realist and know I cannot personally help them all BUT that doesnât mean I donât care or want to. I do this all with trying to keep a roof over my head working everyday dog walking, bringing up a little girl on my own and have my own 3 dogs, 2 cats and a retired horse to try and be a good furry mum to and to say Iâm struggling is an understatement. I feel broken but no matter how many people tell me to âwalk awayâ, âtake a breakâ, I canât! The dogs need us more then ever right now. The new ban coming in, is having a huge knock on effect on so many dogs that are good dogs, good dog owners. Dogs who shouldnât fall under the âtypeâ yet owners are worried sick that they will be. Itâs so wrong. My Facebook has never seen so many large breed dogs being dumped or given away on Facebook. One the other day was given away on Facebook, the poor dog was with his new âownerâ 4 days and a video thatâs gone viral of him beating the dog to an inch of his life with a metal spade! That dog suffered severe abuse (one of the worse Iâve seen) in just 4 days, the dog has lost half of his teeth, a fractured jaw, many broken ribs plus other injuries. How can this be happening đąđThe dog was taken by the police on welfare grounds yet the video of the dog even after all heâd just endured, he was wagging his tail and so sweet and friendly yet the media are making them out to be monsters!! ANY dog in the wrong hands can turn and also depends a lot on circumstances which we as the public tend to not hear the full story! The government need to tackle the main root of the problem and ban the deed not the breed!!!!! The team are exhausted and working so hard having taken in many strays over the past two weeks, without kennels itâs harder and whilst we have the most amazing fosterers, it just seems like an endless task without a proper facility đąđ my dream would be to have our own place. We found the most perfect one locally but unless someone wants to donate 450k, sadly it will never be possible for us to save the amount of dogs we really want to. We are doing our best with the resources we have but our funds are so low. Our vets bills are nearly ÂŁ3,000 already in November and itâs only the 10th!!
Taking dogs in costs us a lot of money, neutering, flea, worming, microchip, food plus a lot of dogs need more veterinary treatment then just basic stuff. X rays, special treatment etc hence our huge vets bills BUT whilst we donât have lots of funds, we ensure our dogs get the BEST care and given all they need and always go above and beyond for all of our dogs. We are lucky to have amazing vets who already discount along with a specialist vet who also provides us with a 25% discount so even with this, this just shows you the extent of what we have to pay out. The adoption fees once the dog is adopted doesnât even cover the costs of basic vet treatment and food. We are so busy we rarely have any time for fundraising so we are begging each and everyone of you who supports us to please donate to our cause.
Below is Pumpkin and Narla who Iâll be collecting tomorrow from the dog warden and driving to their foster homes. This will be an all day outing for me which I donât mind in the slightest to help any dog however none of us are paid. We are all volunteers, we rarely take expenses to cover fuel etc as weâd rather the money went to the dogs. We are not Battersea, Dogs Trust on huge wages! We are a small dedicated team who want to make a difference to the suffering of animals. Iâve spent several days along with working and looking after my daughter sorting Pumpkin and Narla out as I didnât want them to die in kennels. Iâm exhausted, I feel ill but the relief I will feel tomorrow once they are finally in their foster homes will outweigh any of what Iâve been feeling and THIS is why I rescue.
We have nearly 20,000 supporters on our page, can you image if everyone donated ÂŁ1 a week? We could do so much more and maybe one day have our very own premises so we can help many more dogs then we do currently đđ»đđ»đđ»
Please consider donating to our cause so we can help more dogs.
