They say a good lesson horse is worth their weight in gold — and Lena was worth far more. With endless patience, a kind heart, and a spirit that taught more than just riding, she left hoofprints on countless hearts.
Last night we made the difficult decision not to horse owner wants to make to let Lena go. She was 34 (apparently I don’t know how old my horses are cause I kept saying 35 or 36), and she was letting us know she was ready.
Lena taught so many beginner lessons both at CMB Training from the time they got her to here when we bought her at the end of 2023. We knew our time with her would be precious and we tried to make every moment count.
This mare was so full of heart, and definitely let us know when she needed a change (especially in the summer and winter months)
While there’s a big Lena sized hole in our hearts and our barn, we ask that you remember all of the fun times you had on her. We would love to hear some of your stories from times you got to ride or love on Lena!
Words won’t ever do justice to describe our wonderful lesson horse, and she will be missed dearly, but we know she’s up there running for the first time in a couple of years and has no more aches🥹
Rest in Peace Lena❤️🩹 Thank you for everything you did for us over the years
