I don't have a lot of time left.
I'm getting pretty old and years pass but I still end up here.
My smile isn't as bright and shiny as it used to be and I don't have the energy to go for a long walk with you anymore.
It's depressing to live the same day over and over again.
One repetitive day where I never get the happy ending and where no one picks me.
My name is Major and i'm a purebred 9 year old, 65lb German Shepherd.
I'm great with people, kids, dogs and cats.
I'm house trained, crate trained, leash trained, good in the car, quiet and fully vetted.
To adopt Major, call Sofia at (914)483-6472.

This gorgeous young (1-2yrs) boy is looking for a new home because his parents are driving truck and not home enough to take proper care of him. He likes all kinds of people as well as other dogs, but Huskies ARE a high energy breed, so a serious commitment is required. If you have the right home for an active young dog, EMAIL [email protected] for an application.

Club Woof - A Dog Park by CATS Northeast

We love dog parks but some of them are frequented by unruly beasts - both dogs and their people! We thought it would be nice to have a carefully controlled park where everyone has a vested interest in the appropriate behavior of all visitors. The only way to accomplish that was to have it be a membership park, where everyone agrees on certain standards. Also, we didn’t have any help building the park (which is on private property), and the fencing and maintenance have to be paid for! We want pet people who are actually engaged in watching their dogs play, and dogs that have been tested with a variety of personalities to try to ensure that they respond appropriately to the language of the other dogs. We want to see if we can match play styles of the dogs - some dogs just like to run and chase, other dogs like to body slam, still others don’t really want to interact with other dogs but need a place to just run. We think we can make a harmonious park if everyone is committed to some basic safety guidelines and dog smarts. Oh, and the dogs have to be spayed or neutered, current on core vaccines and flea control, and licensed with the town (per state statute). Membership is $100 per year, $60 for four months, and $30 for a one month trial. We also have occasional open play dates if people want to try just once. If we EVER pay off the fence, any extra funds will go to provide medical care to needy pets. For membership paperwork, email [email protected].
