Mine do not wear collars in the house.

Not only this can happen, but another dog could get their jaw caught in the collar while playing.

Be aware of the ingredients in your dogs’ food!!!!

This is why I feed ProPlan Sport 30/20.

Even with ProPlan, you have to be aware of peas and other legumes.

Ok, I just gotta say something…..

If you ever see something like this advertised on a Lab page, RUN!!

“We have spent years developing our bloodlines to produce…..white Labrador puppies”

Labradors come in three recognized colors: black, yellow and chocolate.

Not white. Not butterscotch. Not polar bear. Not whatever.

BLACK. YELLOW. CHOCOLATE.

From the Labrador Standard: “Yellow : Yellows may range in color from fox-red to light cream, with variations in shading on the ears, back, and underparts of the dog.”

Not white, not butterscotch, not polar bear….YELLOW.

While we may describe a very dark reddish looking Lab as a fox red, which is recognized by the Lab Standard, it is still yellow.

Not white, not butterscotch, not polar bear.

Callee, who I called Snow White in jest, is a pale yellow.

Not white. Not polar bear.

Reputable breeders do not describe their dogs in this manner.

BLACK. YELLOW. CHOCOLATE.

When they are reacting we DO NOT tell them it’s ok. It NOT OK!

We let them figure it out for themselves.

By saying “it’s ok” they learn that their fear or hesitancy is ok for them to do. ITS NOT!

Found a dog and not sure where the microchip is registered?
Lord knows, there are so many companies and no main database.

I register mine with AKC Reunite, Buddy ID and FindPet. Yes, I pay a bit extra doing it, but by golly, I have a better chance of someone finding out where the dog belongs.
