The Herbies declare that Spring has finally sprung! So we’ve returned to our Spring Mix with 10% more fruit and veg. We’ve started the season with a special fish and fowl mix. PM me for details!

That cold wind sweeping through the mountains is definitely a deceptive Spring! So we’re keeping to our Winter recipe here at RR for a few weeks more. Watch out for the swooping too! Big activity at Leura Golf course and North Katoomba roads especially Victoria Road! Anyone got any Maggie swooping spots to avoid?

Cold enough?? Even LG has a jacket on! I'm going to donate 10% of RR takings during July to this great cause - so come buy some more!! Bas hopes I won't donate his dinner.........🤣

Well its turned pretty cold and my usual naked LG has even consented to wear clothes! Walks have been quicker and shorter cos the wind is brutal!

We've been walking for Ronald McDonald House, I'm committed to at least a Km a day. We went down the mountain earlier this week to see family and walk in the sunshine at Camden, The Herbies ran themselves breathless! We snuck into Maccas for a well earnt brekkie!

And a trip to see family means a different walk venue

Well Winter is here with a bang! And Bas has the perfect solution. Stay in bed…..
It’s the time to snuggle under the doona and stay warm and eat good food. So we’ve returned to our Winter recipe this week with 10% more protein to keep your doggies warm through the winter months!

What’s the messiest part of RR? Is it the meat? Or the smelly liver? Nope. It’s the darn vegetables! Minced carrot gets everywhere! We generate a fair bit of compost from our fresh fruit and veggies. So much that we now have our own compost bin!

Why Feed Raw?

We fell in love so easily with her and we only want the best for her and that includes what she eats. We were horrified at what goes into kibble/dried food and can’t really afford the high end stuff so I looked into making my own - and got hooked on making raw - from readily available ingredients using the BARF model.

Yes I do sell raw food - but I also post all my recipes and give tips on how to make it yourself.

Look at her. She’s so happy, speedy, shiny, soft and her teeth gleam and she’s a well behaved girl - so why wouldn't you try it?

After all.....

Who in their right mind feeds cereal to a carnivore?

Why should you risk your dog’s health to an unregulated, slyly marketed, financially focused industry?

Why not control what goes into your dog’s nutrition?

The Main benefits of feeding a raw diet are:

· Lower incidences of allergies and itching (lower vets bills!)

· Clean teeth

· Fresher breath

· Reduced ‘doggy’ odour

· Increased coat shine

· Reduced stool size and odour

· Increased interest in food

· Increased mental and physical stimulation when working on a bone

· Healthy weight maintenance is easier

· Lower instances of food allergies, arthritis and a more balanced temperament (possibly due to the removal of artificial colours and preservatives commonly found in kibble)
