Meg Byrne is the Owner and President of Train That Dog, NJ and is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through IAABC and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through CCPDT. She has extensive experience working with dogs and their people on complex behavior issues including aggression, reactivity, fear and impulsivity, in addition to helping clients with life skills, manners, problem prevention and
puppy development. Formerly the Director of Behavior and Training at two different large-scale dog training facilities in New Jersey, Meg has focused her work on private behavior consultations and private lessons for aggressive behavior, in addition to developing coursework and teaching classes specifically designed for reactive and aggressive dogs. Meg has also taught group obedience classes and consulted with various animal shelters and rescues to teach staff and volunteers about body language, enrichment, training and behavior modification towards the goal of helping more dogs find safe and appropriate homes. Meg provides private consultations, private lessons, and walk and train programs in Bergen, Passaic and Essex Counties in New Jersey. She can occasionally arrange to see clients in Morris County and the northern areas of Hudson County. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Learning and Behavior from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where she graduated Magnum Cum Laude. In addition to continuing education in her field, Meg has additional education in Biology and Physiology and a neverending quest for knowledge and information that can help you and your dogs live happier, more fulfilling lives.
