Duke and Bandit have been missing since Saturday. They are both males. These babies went missing from Hwy 23 and Lambs Bridge Rd. Please contact 478-455-6401 if you have seen them! Please help us get these babies back home.

We just can’t understand who Pooh Bear is still here at the shelter! This AMAZING 2-year-old neutered male is absolutely gorgeous AND well-trained! Perhaps Pooh is still here because he came into the shelter at the same time that we posted several puppies. And while puppies are hard to resist, Pooh Bear should not be overlooked! This happy boy is ready to be someone’s PERFECT companion! Leash-trained, people and dog friendly, and SUPER smart, Pooh is ready to make someone’s life complete! Pooh knows LOTS of commands and shows all the signs of being house-trained. Who is ready to for a new BEST friend? Come meet this awesome dog! You will NOT be able to resist his charms! *Adoption fee is $40 cash, which includes 5-way vaccine, Bordetella (kennel cough), flea treatment, deworming regimen, bath and nail trim, microchip and free registration. Upon Adoption, PHH offers financial assistance with the costs of spay/neuter and initial rabies vaccination. Please bring a collar, leash, I.D., and $40 cash with you. Metter Advertiser’s 2024 Candler’s Pet contest and Purr-fect Pet Publication raised $500 for Paws, Hearts & Hands of Candler County. One hundred percent of entry fees for Candler Pet went to the organization and half of all Purr-fect Pet submissions were donated to PHHCC as well.

Founded in Metter, GA in 2018, Paws, Hearts and Hands of Candler County, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization established for the purpose of preventing animal cruelty in Candler County. The organization and its members will attempt to reach this objective by enhancing the quality of animal life, educating the public regarding responsible pet ownership, increasing public awareness of companion animal overpopulation issues, and supporting and subsidizing high quality shelter, medical, spay/neuter and adoption services for animals. �
