I love you so, so much.

This is my favorite photo of my beautiful wife. It’s from our wedding day in 2021 and it was the best day ever. People will talk about G's smile, and it was incredible—it would make you feel like you were the center of the universe. But what I love about this photo is how it captures her strength. She was a strong, beautiful, phenomenal woman who just loved everything and everyone.

Working in the equestrian world is not an easy life; there are a lot of knocks and dark days. But G would navigate this by throwing so much joy and love at every situation. She would get as much joy from having a Greggs tea on the way home from the gallops as she would teaching a client in the pouring rain or jumping and galloping around biggest courses in the world. It was just incredible to be at your side and feel this energy.

I’m so proud to be your husband.

Rest in peace, my beautiful girl.

I don’t want this to sound like a thank you speech, but there are some people that I’d like to acknowledge and thank. The team at Bicton, who were beyond words in their care for Debbie, Diana, and me in the immediate aftermath; Tim, Jonelle, and their beautiful kids for getting me through the first 24 hours; and the Wolf Pack for being there ever since. There have been so many incredible messages of support, and I’m sorry for not getting back to more of you, but please know that they have been read and are so appreciated.

Seeing the purple and white ribbons has been amazing. But on an even more basic level, when you’re out competing this weekend, please just smile at each other, don’t feel awkward about laughing, and above all, try and love everything and everyone.

Update on Keith
Some of you may be aware that Keith has been a little unwell this season and had to pull out of several events.
The good news is that today he finally had his appointment and had a pacemaker fitted at Exeter hospital
He is now at home feeling fine , taking it easy and looking forward to seeing you all next season.

A very proud father, Russell Bloomfield, wrote in to us recently to share his 12-year-old daughter 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞’𝐬 British Eventing (BE) progress in her first ever season…

“My daughter has impressed us so much this year, relishing the challenges of BE in her first season. We have been treated to amazing venues, brilliantly organised events and the best volunteers and marshals. Millie herself has managed to place in every BE80 or U18 BE80 she has entered, which is testament to the hard work she has put in.

“Millie rides Longslade Grenadier (Charlie), a 13.3hh New Forest pony gelding. We bought Charlie when he was four and Millie was eight, against very good advice that it was probably not the right thing to do. But Millie’s determination turned a nappy, green native in to an honest and happy competition pony. With the support from RAC Saddlery Club in Bovington, Millie now gets great pleasure from the BE events and I can’t think of any other sport where you can be in the same warm up side by side with Olympians and world Champions.

“She has enjoyed this season so much and plans to have a go at ACE this winter until she can event again next year. She quietly dreams of the grassroots at Badminton. Millie is also looking to be more integrated with The Howden Way Training as and when the opportunities arise; it looks like a great programme with amazing coaches.

“Millie has found her first season much more accessible by having a companion, Shanon Bonfield. They have taken on the challenges of a first season together with each other’s support, and the subsequent friendship has made everything more enjoyable.”

As a South Dorset Hunt Pony Club member, Millie joined BE through the 𝟒𝟎% 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Monbeg Shelby

Before I have to officially put this guy on the open market I just wondered if there was anyone out there who would like to be an owner or interested in a syndicate to secure him.

His story!
He was bought for my best friend who needed to replace her event horse, unfortunately Shelby turned out to be too sensitive for her, I took over the reins a year ago and we just gel!

He led the dressage in our first 2 star
He’s an absolute machine xc and has all the qualities to go to the top!

This season he has jumped around some intermediates always clear xc.
He was lying in 5th before xc was cancelled at Gatcombe this year amongst some of the best company. He’s ready to step up to 3 star now and advance early next year.
With Blenheim 8/9 year olds in mind

He’s a really lovely guy.
And will take new owners to some of the best events.
This could be a lot of fun for a group of friends or to meet new like minded friends.
