Everybody meet Rizla / Rizzi.

She was given to me by a friend a who was really struggling with her behaviour, so I rehomed her! Rizla used to eat out of hands, sit on heads and be a very social birdy… but one day this all changed my friend told me. She turned into a biter, you couldn’t get anywhere near her, and she’d scream if you opened her cage.

After letting her settle, we’ve made real progress! The second photo was this evening, you can see her eating out of my friends hand, and socialising with the other birds in a very nice manner! She’s less bitey already, however still goes for you if you get too close to her cage on occasion, and she loves spending time outside her cage! My aim is by the end of the week to have her caged with the other birdies as long as they keep getting on as well as they are.

Any advice on how to further bonding etc. between me and her, and her and the other birds. Or any suggestions on what possibly caused the sudden change in her behaviour would be appreciated as it is a mystery to me and the lovely lady I rehomed her from! I’m doing my very best!! Thankyou - love Holly and the Critters. ❤️
