The Forgotten Dog This page was originally started in April of 2011 to save one senior black lab cross in a Pueblo, Colorado shelter.

She had been living there for over 4 years, neglected in an outdoor gravel run.

If you have EVER considered taking a foster dog, now is the time! Wherever you live, shelters are full and rescues are BEGGING. If you need info, guidance or moral support, let me know. I’ve done 28 dogs. Trust me. You won’t regret it!!

Our Purpose

I just wanted to add a new note about our forever purpose. We want people who can SHARE. Why? Because although we post many, many animals, we CONCENTRATE on those dogs who have been, well.... FORGOTTEN. The upside to a NO KILL NATION is that dogs are not euthanized.... But the downside are those dogs who are overlooked day after day, month after month and year after year in those same facilities. They get older and less “cute” and can often die in these places with just the staff and volunteers to love and care for them. No couch to lay on, no soft bed, no yard, no sunny porch.

When you join this page, and we want you to share this page everywhere to everyone, we want you to make one small promise.... just visit our page every day and share one dog. And when you share - ask your circle to share too. That way these dogs will get a real chance! Because even though you are not looking for a dog doesn’t mean someone you know isn’t!

The dogs thank you! Woof Woof!
