Ashcombe Sporthorses, LLC Hunter/Jumper training and lessons, boarding, and sales in Southern Pennsylvania and Ocala, FL. Located in Glen Rock, PA and Ocala, FL.

Established in 1986, Flower Farm was named after a special horse, Sweet William, who inspired a dedication to breeding horses with spectacular talent, conformation and bloodlines combined with rideability and heart. It is a paramount goal of the breeding program at Flower Farm to create a horse that is innately show-ring ready and, therefore, requires minimal preparation. Breeding for correct conf

ormation predisposes a horse to longevity- they will stay sound and healthy longer. Breeding for spectacular movement and athleticism gives Flower Farm horses an immediate edge in the show ring. Our horses are superior athletes due to careful breeding of the best dam and sire lines only. These horses are offspring of Olympians and show champions on both sides of their pedigrees so they are built to perform. It is natural for them to be in a show ring performing at top levels. Our mares are of the best quality and temperament or they do not reproduce. It is not unusual to see one of our broodmares pulled from a field and taken for a trail ride - they are that rideable and they continue to pass this quality on to their offspring. It is our philosophy that temperament and heart are innate, inherited characteristics. We absolutely only breed horses that we want to ride!

Looking for barn help at our Glen Rock, PA farm starting immediately.

Weekdays, starting at 8 for morning shift and PM shift starts at 3:30. Right now AM is 4 hours (maybe a little more when the farrier comes on Mondays) and PM is 3 hours—both shifts are going to get shorter in a week when the show horses leave for FL. Could be two different people (one per shift) or one for both shifts. Stalls, feeding, bringing in/turning out, water, hay, keeping the place clean and the horses happy… you know the drill.

Must be dependable—rain, snow or shine, horses need cared for–a good communicator, self-motivated and have a good work ethic. Must have horse experience. Range of horses from young to old, all show horses, including a stallion.

What a great week at the Kick Off Classic ‘A’ for Team Ashcombe!

⭐️ Jake Parker Wymard and Angela Licata-Misiak’s Stornello were Champion in the Green 3’ Hunters — just two points off Grand Green Hunter!

⭐️ Avery Rosolowski and her own Roulette were Champion in the USHJA 2’ Hunters with great trips in the 2’3 and 2’6 as well. We are so excited for the future of these two!

⭐️ Sarah Kelley and her own DSH Absolut were 3rd in a competitive $3,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby with an 87 and 82.

⭐️ Jake and Stornello were also 4th in the $3,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby with an 84 and 83.
