OK, everybody we wanted to get you an update on the pug that was in the Valencia County Shelter in Los Lunas!!! I know a lot of you saw her post to her sad little face. Several people called, messaged and unfortunately, they had her as a bite risk and she was only available to rescue once her stray hold was up, which was today. If she didn’t get a rescue, unfortunately she would’ve been put down and we couldn’t have that.
Even though we are over capacity, I could not say no, and I picked her up this morning!!! 😊
I will say the first thing she did was give me kisses. I’ve seen this 1 million times and I think she was probably just overwhelmed and scared and probably not socialized.
We are on our way to her Foster & she’s going to get a much needed bath and possibly a spay today.
However, she is safe!! Happy Friday!! 👍🏻😍❤️
Oh Eleanor!!!!! She not normal and we finally have solid proof. 🤪🤦🏻♀️😆😂 And I had to clean the plexiglass ASAP thanks to my cleaning ocd. 🙃 #pugs #pug #puglove #pugsanctuary #seniorpug #specialneedspug #pugrescue #newmexicopugs #newmexicopets #pugranch #pugranchnm #spayandneuter #adoptdontshop #spayandneuteryourpets
These 2 little munchkins Gregory & Lemon were loving the snow SO MUCH that they bolted off our property as we were going into the house. Mike and I had to literally chase them by foot as he chased with our bronco in the snow!!!!
Talk about the scariest moments and they are in SO MUCH trouble. They thought it was amazing frolicking in the snow and ran off our 3 acres right in front of me!!! Thankfully they had a sweater plus heavy coat on and I ran after them, tracking them with FJ by their paw prints!
It was the scariest 10-15 min of my life that seemed like hours. We are beyond cautious and this just goes to show even our own dogs did it in a split second. They ran soooooooooo fast. And they are now snow grounded but safe. And have new air tags tonight. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😱😭🥶❄️☃️🤨🙃🫣
SNICKERS!!!! Mike has him and he’s on his way back so we can head to the vet. We immediately put a warm jacket on him so that you can’t see the graphic nature of how skinny he is, but look at him, barking and happy. That’s such a good good sign. I’m on another mission right now to go get the two pugs that were tied up in front of target. 🎯 I will give you more on that later.
A little Marshmallow love for you all today!!!! Thank you for supporting this sweet girl. We love and appreciate all of you. 🩷🥰🐾🎉🙏🏻
Miss Marshmallow had a vet Apt today! She had her drains & her sutures out. She still has a huge open wound we are doing management & 3x a day wound cleaning. She started laser therapy today to treat and help the healing process. ❤️🩹 It will take time & patience. She is so grateful for your support as she is a happy girl. She still has some anxiety but love with conquer.
Marshmallow Necklace Drawing
We have a winner!!!!!! I drew last night and recorded the video and want to tell you first thing today!!!
We use a randomizer called wheelofnames.com which allows us to enter all of the 100 names and do a random tap to spin to select a winner. We didn’t sort them because some people picked out certain numbers for their spot.
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉❤️ I am so excited for the winner, you got the most amazing one custom piece.
We can not thank everyone enough for all of your support!!!! Marshmallow is doing good and we’re actually off to the vet today so we will keep you posted, as she may need some sutures redone. 🙏🏻
I know you love Norman, guess what … his 2 puppy litter mate brothers need good forever homes!! Their dad got suddenly deployed and the family that adopted them took them back and are looking for very good homes these 2 boys!! They are 14 weeks old, both fawn boys and have their first shots. They do not need to go together. If you are interested message us and we will connect you with them. We are just sharing!! They are located in the Albuquerque area. 😘🙌🏻❤️
Here is Marshmallow getting her pup cup!! She has a Vet apt Friday so we will know her recovery path forward & future vet needs. We have all of her medical notes & records to make a smooth transition. 👍🏻
(It sounds like I said owners were found on the video… I was mumbling lol - NO owners were found as she was on mandatory stray hold per the shelter to give time for her family in case there were searching for her. )🙏🏻
Marshy is relaxing tonight in her own quiet space with an entire room to herself with lavender infusing, spa music and fuzzy beds. 🥰❤️ She ate a good dinner & took her medications like a perfect girl. I will sleep in her room tonight to help her feel comfortable, loved & safe.
We have had lots of people ask, so if you would like to donate towards her vet care here are our donation links. We also added a few items & supplements on the Amazon wish list for her. We love our pug community and appreciate you whether it’s well wishes or prayers too. 🙏🏻🐾

Welcome Ron!!! Just got to this guy Socorro shelter! We are taking his freedom after a quick stop to Tractor Supply for some chewies for the way home!! He is 5 years old, incredibly handsome, sweet, playful, social butterfly with tons of personality!!
He has been at the small Socorro shelter since August unable to be posted or anything after his owner ran into some legal trouble. His black pug sister and a frenchie got adopted right away. He needs his neuter, nares, microchip, few more shots & heartworm test and will be ready to go to his new forever home!
His name is currently Ron but doesn’t know it or wasn’t his original, we might need a new one??? Thoughts?
Look at Norman! This tiny little warrior feels so much better now that infected eye is out. He is eating, taking his meds and let me just say pictures & videos don’t show how teeny he is. He is even slurping up some chi heh flavored puppy electrolytes! We posted about him & his story yesterday if you didn’t catch it. 😘👍🏻🐾
Meet Norman!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This sweet tiny, itty bitty 2lb guy came to us yesterday as an emergency when he received an eye injury playing with a littermate. His family took him to the vet ASAP and the estimate was way out of financial reach so we offered to help get him treatment at our vet & a second opinion.
We picked him up last night. This morning he had emergency surgery to remove that eye at only 9 weeks and did amazing!! He already feels so much better. We will nurse him back to health and get his sutures out in a few weeks.
His family may want to adopt him back after he is healthy, so we will give them first priority and let you know if anything changes. It all happened so fast we didn’t have time to get you an update before his surgery this morning!
We are grateful his family contacted us right away after the injury & seeing their vet. We thank them for trusting us to help this brave boy. They felt they ran out of options, but we were able to give this little pug a second chance!!! Go Team Norman! 😜🐾🙌🏻❤️🙏🏻
