Professional Pet Care vs. A Hobbyist: What's the Difference?

This has been a topic of discussion lately and I felt it was time to explain the difference between hiring a professional company to care for your pets vs. a hobbyist.

We see/hear it all the time: "Your prices are too high"
"I'm looking for an affordable/cheap pet sitter" "$100+ is just insane".

We also hear "I used someone from :insert popular app here: and they lost my dog; threw a party at my house; drank our alcohol; canceled last minute; left my pets alone the entire day; never came; didn't tell me my dog got injured" and the list goes on.

As a professional pet care provider, it hurts to hear these things. There is a reason why our prices are higher than ones you find on apps and there are many factors that go into these prices.
