Latest animals on stray hold!

These animals come from a variety of situations - Humane Officer cases, abandonment, owner passing away, sick, injured, etc.

They will be held for 5 days per WV State Law. After the hold is complete, they will be available for adoption!

We are open Tue - Fri 12-6 & Sat - Sun 12-5.

If you believe your dog is here please come up during business hours! We are here to be compassionate to pets and people, we want to reunite you with your pet!

For questions call Admissions at (304)342-1576 ext. 118. If they don't answer they are busy with an intake please leave a message and they will get back to you 🐾

We have a puppy named Stone Cold Steve Austin 😂

PUPPY PALOOZA continues - $20 adoptions for puppies!

Dogs and cats are 50% off their adoption fees too, but we're completely out of space for safe puppy housing so they're the stars of this adoption special! 🤩

Where they come in with no vaccine history, we have to be careful where they are housed to keep them from germs. Particularly parvo 🥺

All adoptions include them being fixed, shots, chipped, wormed, and flea/tick meds! And coupons to our local Petco! 😍

We had a blast at TC Energy today - we had 4 adoptions at their event, and we saw their staff coming up to adopt after at the shelter too!

This caravan has made many trips, and helped so many animals find new homes. Thanks Petco Love for seeing our vision for this care-a-van to bring shelter pets to our community ❤️

Awesome news! Harmony was pulled by a rescue, Pick Of The Litter Animal Rescue Corp.

Harmony has really niche and potentially life-long skin issues. We have tried many routes of treatment to no avail, but now with Pick of the Litter she is going to Virginia Tech for in-depth diagnostics to hopefully cure her 🥹

We're so thankful to a community that loves animals and works together to help animals!

She'll also be in a foster home to enjoy while she's getting her specialist visits!! Congrats Harmony and thank you Pick of the Litter!

Spring has certainly sprung 😅 At least Saturn is enjoying the nice weather without a care in the world 🤣 but we know it means one thing - puppies and kittens!

We are already seeing mommas and litters pouring in 😭 that's why we're doing a $20 puppy adoption special!

All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea/tick treatment, & coupons to our local Petco 🥰

🆘 We are critically full - of PUPPIES! 🆘

We started today with 71 puppies. Humane Officers in multiple jurisdictions all had calls of puppies who desperately needed safe haven 🥺

Now we're at 82 puppies 🫠 that's even factoring in the puppies who went home today.

So, we're creating a PUPPY PALOOZA special! All puppies are just $20 to adopt!

They will be fixed before leaving, but they'll also have their shots, microchip, dewormed, and flea/tick treated too!

Please, consider adoption. We are trying our best to help as many as we can, but we are limited on space to help more until our current babies are adopted & fixed! ❤️

And they call it puppy love 🥰

We are currently housing 71 puppies under the age of 6 months. Open a door at our shelter, we’re sure you’ll find a puppy there! Between the cat room, new intake holding area, and the puppy room- we are JAM packed! 😅

Until Sunday we’re doing discounted adoption fees for everyone in the building! To help our many many puppies find homes, we’ve included them in our special- 50% off all adoption fees! ❤️

If you can’t adopt:
- We have several puppies that are eligible for foster! Not only are you enjoying the temporary puppy parent life, but you’re giving them a break from the busy shelter life! Plus, a temporary empty kennel means we can help more pups that need us! 🏡

- As you can imagine, 71 is a lot of mouths to feed! Donations of Purina puppy chow, toys, busy bones, leashes, collars, newspaper, & potty pads are just a few must need items to set our pups up for success! 🦴

- ⬆️ We’re always needing extra hands to provide extra TLC to these guys! Stop by anything to volunteer! 🫂

- Sharing this post can reach friends, family, and peers that might be on the hunt for a new family member!
