Niagara Dog Rescue Niagara Dog Rescue is a volunteer-based registered charity, helping homeless unwanted dogs. We a foster based rescue.

This means we do not have a facility, dogs are pulled from shelters and put in to comfortable homes until they are adopted. We need fosters in Niagara Region or West GTA to love and care for the dogs we rescue until they are adopted. Each foster volunteer allows us to save one more dog and help him/her find a loving forever home. Fostering is ideal for families considering adoption but who are not

yet sure. Fostering provides them an opportunity to get to know the dog and how s/he fits in the family. This allows them to make an informed decision about a long-term adoption.

Meet Rue Lyn, our adorable 5 months old catahoulha mix puppy from Kentucky! 🤠
Rue Lyn & her brother Little Cash were left in a camper abandoned with the rest of their brothers and sisters. When they were found, they were the only surviving babies; all others had died of either starvation or parvo. Rue Lyn & Little Cash found a loving foster home and a couple of days in they started showing signs of parvo. Their foster mama caught it quick and they only had to spend 2 nights in the hospital getting fluids and are now home & healthy!

Rue’s brother Cash was recently adopted and made the big trip to Canada and she is still awaiting her to turn! 🇨🇦 She is such a well socialized pup that adores people and other dogs.. and fun fact: she also loves whipped cream!

Jaehoo was rescued in November of 2019 as a newborn pup along with his siblings. He was raised by his rescuers and has always lived with other dogs. His two siblings were adopted to San Francisco and Vancouver, where they are thriving and enjoying their happy homes, but Jaehoo is still waiting for his family at the shelter.
He is a very gentle and calm dog who loves lying on a blanket and basking in the sunlight all day. He is a low energy pup who is gentle with kiddos and would adore a home with another pup sibling to keep him company!

Meet Blu! 💙 He was surrendered along with another dog when his family, overwhelmed with toddlers and multiple pets, could no longer manage. Despite the change, Blu remains a sweet and affectionate boy who thrives on attention. He loves to run and play with other dogs and gets along well with themm. Blu is known to jump into laps for a quick cuddle, but he doesn’t stay long—he’s always ready for the next adventure! He’s very social and will often come over when he sees another dog getting attention, even if he’s already in someone else's lap. Blu is a playful, lovable, and entertaining pup who would bring a lot of joy to a forever home.

These are dogs who’ve spent months, even years, in kennels. Not because they’re “bad,” but because they’re heartbroken, scared, or simply overlooked 😔

Fostering one of these dogs isn’t always going to be easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding 🐾 You might be one of the first people to show them patience… the first to earn their trust… the first place they’ve ever felt safe. And we will be here to support and guide you every step of the way 💙

Meet Hudson — or Hank, as his friends call him!
This handsome heartthrob has it all: good looks, a lovable personality, and smarts to match. At 55 lbs, Hudson is the perfect mix of snugglebug, hiking buddy, and backyard BBQ assistant.

When Hudson first arrived at the rescue, he was shy and unsure. But with time, love, and patience, he’s blossomed into a confident, social butterfly who adores people of all ages and gets along beautifully with other dogs. That said, he’d be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one-and-only too — he’s easy like that.

Hudson is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and has excellent house manners. Although he prefers to spend time with his people so would do best with someone who isn't gone all day. His foster family absolutely adores him and can’t understand why this amazing boy has been waiting over 150 days without a single application!

We keep telling Hudson the only reason he hasn’t found his forever home yet is because his perfect family just hasn’t seen him. Could that be you?

Little Nova is a 1.5 year old boxer mix that was rescued from abuse in Mexico. Her owners didn't feed her. She was skin and bones, and she slept on the street. One day, her mother was hit by a car. Little Nova suffered a lot. She was left without her mother, and she was alone, sad and having all the danger of life on the streets of Mexico. Luckily, Little Nova’s guardian Angel found and rescued her and she is caring for her until a forever family of her own is found.
Little Nova is very active, she is a young pup and she only wants to play. She loves to play with toys, and she adores playing with dogs. She barks when she is excited and is very affectionate. She is sweet and lovely, and she just wants to be loved.
