Meet Shirley and Laverne,

The great ladies of the Guesthouse Porch.
These two beautiful sisters are 5 1/3 years old, arriving at Domino's in January of 2020 as two beautiful kittens.
They will "hold court" and "cuddle hour" with the other kitties but they are a tightknit duo, and very people shy.
As they have never been separated, they are looking for their forever home together.
With their beautiful blue eyes it is clear that they carrry some "royal" blood, something their aloofness illustrates.
These ladies are looking for a quiet home with one or two adults who have the time and patience to invest in getting to know them and build up their trust in us bipeds and give them all the attemtion and love that they deserve.
They would love to have a large porch where they could bathe in the sun and find a cool spot of shade on those warmest of days in a home where they can live their quiet bestest life (with a regular supply of Temptations treats).

If you are interested in meeting these grand ladies or maybe offer them their forever home, please contact us to make an appointment to come out and see them.

Adoption Days are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12-4 pm
Other days are by appointment.

To all of you out there who are sharing our appeals and fundraisers; A great big Thank You❤️.
It means the world to us to have our appeals for help out there.
We are trying to acknowledge you all with an individual "Thank you for sharing" comment, but unfortunately fb then blocks us from making posts as their system is flagging our thank you notes as "spamming".

Please know that we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, both those of the furbabies and those of us bipeds, without you all having our back we would be lost.

And yes of course, feel free to share🥰

Meet Bam Bam.
This handsome guy is about 3 1/2 years old and came to Domino's with his mother and siblings as a kitten.
As his mother found her wings, Bam Bam and his brother was "raised" by our resident "Mannycat" Rooster.
Bam Bam remained close to Rooster and as Rooster went to his new home in November we can tell that he is missing him.
Bam Bam is now the last of his litter to remain at Domino's and is looking for his furever home.
He is a bundle of love and snuggles who will happily climb up your leg if that is what it takes to get your attention. He gets along well with the other cats and also with Domino's resident Airdale; Darby, so he should be fine with dogs.
All Bam Bam's shots were updated in September 2024.

Come meet our Bam Bam at :
Domino's House, 4546 SW Honey Terrace, Palm City Fl 34990.
Adoption days are Wednesdays and Saturdays 12-4 pm.
Please contact us via messenger or on 772 283 9447 to make an appointment, or to make arrangements to come out at any other day/time.

As 2025 barged in and became a reality, our first act was to wish each and everyone of you the very best for this brand new and shiny year...

Our second was to send thoughts and prayers to all those touched by the dreadful happenings in New Orleans, in the light of day, it is hard not to wonder how we got here.

It is hard also to wake up and face the fact that this looks to be the year when Domino's will be forced to close it's doors.
For more than 20 years Domino's have weathered every storm...
A 501(c)(3) not for profit charity organization, Domino's House/Dominos Cat Rescue League has remained a safe haven for cats of all ages, breeds and physical conditions.
At Domino's these cats have found love, help, recovery and a new lease of life.
The majority have been adopted and moved from Domino's to their furever homes, but some have lived part, most of, or their entire lives here with us.
Those who remained have roamed the 5 acres in Palm City on which Domino's sit.
They have made themselves at home in the cat houses on the property and they have been safe and sound in this, their no cage, no kill home.
They have been fed, they have had their medical needs met and they have been loved by staff, volunteers and visitors alike.

Now that looks to soon be over.
Starting with Covid and followed by the financial climate...our funds are gone.
Regular monthly, quarterly, semi annual and annual donations have bit by bit dried up.
We are staring at a bank account that will be empty by the end of the month...
We have no idea what to do.
We have held fleamarkets, appeals and started fundraisers...
But unless we can find a partner, donors or raise the roof with our fundraisers...
Domino's WILL be forced to close and our current clowder of 60 cats will be homeless...
They will be the loosers.

Dominos is in desperate need of the funds to pay the power bill, medical bills, taxes, waste collection, pest control, and last but absolutely not least, the wages of our 5 wonderful people.

We have crunched the budget again and made further cuts, but costs such as vet fees, utilities, phone, internet and taxes are largely beyond our control.
We know times are hard for everyone, especially now at the start of the new year...
But please...
Donate if you can afford to do so, either by check to our address below, via our website or via our GoFundMe appeals. Be it $1, 10, 100 or 1000, every cent helps and is equally appreciated.
Deliveries of food, litter, blankets, toys and treats to our address are also always welcome.
If you are nable to donate, please please remember sharing is free and help us get our appeals out there.

Please help us save Domino's Cat Rescue.

With Christmas now behind us and the New Year knocking on the door, we are desperately looking for a way to ensure the continuing operations of Domino's through 2025, the continued care of our kitties and the time to find as many of them as possible their loving furever homes before we have to close the doors and turn off the lights for the last time.
Domino's Cat Rescue needs your help now more than ever.

Donations of food, treats, toys and litter are ever welcome, delivered in person if you would like to pay us a visit, or from our Amazon wishlist, from Chewy or from Walmart.
Should you wish to make a contribution by check to our mailing address, all donations are gratefully received, no matter their size.

BUT...

And yes there is a big BUT looming over Domino's.

Dominos is in desperate need of the funds to literally keep the lights on, pay the power bill, pay the medical bills, the taxes, the waste collection, pest control, and last but absolutely not least, to pay the wages of our 5 wonderful people.

We have crunched the budget, made some further cuts, but costs such as vet fees, utilities, phone, internet and taxes are largely beyond our control.

We know that times are hard for everyone, especially now during and after the holiday period... But please...
Please help us save Domino's and allow us to continue to provide for our cats.

The trees are up, the lights are on, bells have rung and so we are wishing all our kitties, followers, friends and fellow furbaby owners all the peace and blessings of the season.

Our making merry took place last night, and today there is yet another two turkeys in the oven, alas, they are not for us bipeds.

Today the kitties who call Domino's home will be making merry with their very own Christmas dinner of freshly roasted turkeys.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Great news, sisters Penelope and Marsha (Puddy's babies), now known as Thelma & Louise, have left the building.
They set off on their new adventure Saturday.
Though we will miss them, we are thankful and happy knowing they have found their forever home together.

It has been a hectic last few weeks with a lot happening and our team has been hard at work as a smaller more tight knit unit. With a few vet visits, the food drive, the fleamarket event and now Christmas around the corner...not to mention all the daily goings on. When you have 62 cats in residence and a colony to care for there is always something to do.

The wheel of time ever turns and we all shed a tear as our great Houdini made his final escape and peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. A true "Domino's cat", we are sure the "Old man's" many friends were there to welcome him on his arrival.

On a happier note, our beloved "Manny", "Resident Stoner" and "Catnip Monster" Rooster has also left us after finding his true forever home.
Nothing makes us happier than knowing yet another Domino cat has a warm, safe and loving new home, but that does not mean they are not missed.
So here are a couple of "Rooster moments" to make us smile.

Our weekend outing is over and we would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to B & A Flea Market for our space and the use of the tables. The weather was not the best on Saturday but a good time was still had. Sunday was marvellous with sunshine and many happy vendors as well as bargain hunters.
We got a little in the kitty from the day (pun intended) and got our name out there, handed out flyers, started conversations and met cat lovers of all ages.
Thank you to all our new friends for your donations during the weekend.

Hmmmm....maybe we should do this again next year.....

But for now, please remember our GoFundMe fundraiser.

30/11/2024

We hope you have all had a good Thanksgiving spent in the company of two and four legged friends of all species and that you, like us are now looking forward to Christmas.
It is the season for giving and sadly, so often this means that an influx in cats, kittens and dogs seeking new homes will soon follow.
This Christmas let us all pray that things will be different, and stand prepared to help as best we can, should it not be.
We will be launching our food drive this week but in the meantime, please, please, we urge all our followers to share our fundraising link with your family, friends, colleagues and on social media to give us some traction and exposure.
Domino's rely 100% on the donations that come in and we do not have the large corporate sponsors that the larger national rescues may have. For us ever cent counts and no funds are ever spent on fancy advertisements or promotions, this is why the sharing of posts is so very important.
It has been a tight year for us as it will no doubt have been for all of you and we know that pockets and purses all have bottoms, especially this time of year when expenses and general living costs tend to skyrocket.
So, while we are asking you to please take the time to check out our GoFundMe page for our current fundraiser for much needed funds... we are also asking you to please donate ONLY IF you can afford to...
Remember that sharing is free and that it is very important to us.

Please join us in making a difference for Domino's House. I … Nina Winters needs your support for Urgent help needed to keep Dominos House cats safe and fed.

Will you adopt us? We guarantee to bring considerable delight and happiness.
