The many faces of Ellie. This is my daughter, Stephanie's, pup. Her "Get-a-Golden-Free" card turn-in that each of our children receive upon being one of the "Snitker kids". Well, Stephanie turned her card in and adopted Ellie (Adeline/Bart 2024). Ellie went to live with Stephanie and her family at 8 weeks old, but upon a recent breast cancer diagnosis, Ellie came back to stay with us this past month. Her mama went through her first chemo treatment and now has a better idea of what that looks like for her, so Ellie is on her way back HOME tomorrow. The family of eight really misses this little furry peanut, so I'm excited for her homecoming. 😀 Some of you remember working with Stephanie at Snitker Goldens (I think, 12 years?? 🙂). . . . if you'd like to reach out to send a card or note of encouragement, please feel free to PM me, and I'll see that she gets it. For now, Ellie will bring her own cup of cheer to Stephanie and the entire family! 🥰.

I’ve had the honor of spending the last twenty years nurturing these little lives. Some of them will be there with you at the birth of your first child, becoming your son or daughter’s first dog. Some will be there to catch your tears through illness or loss, helping you maneuver life. Some will enable you to serve others through loneliness or challenging times, providing therapy or service. And yet some of these little ones will cause you to live your best life. Just a dog?….. I don’t think so…..for one of life’s treasures is their love and companionship. Comfort/Therapy, Service, and Companion Dogs

The humans behind Snitker Goldens are intensely passionate about the work Golden Retrievers are doing every day. Be it as a diabetic alert dog, service dog, companion, therapy dog . . . each Golden plays an important role in the lives of the individuals and families they serve.

During the early formative and most critical weeks in a puppy’s life (0-16 weeks), positive relationships, enrichment, socialization, healthy cognitive development, and intentional imprints are all purposefully created and learned. Whether a puppy meets and leaves with their family at eight weeks or as a trained young adult, the purpose of every trainable moment is to help each puppy develop to their full potential.

Snitker Goldens strongly believe in Relationship Centered Training™ (RCT), an approach used by internationally respected trainer, Suzanne Clothier. RCT focuses on mutual respect, clear communication, and healthy, positive relationships between dogs and their handlers.
