Forgot to post this from Louie’s go home lesson the other day. He used to lunge and bark at other dogs, but no more! His owner did a great job handling him and Ditchie was of course happy to help.

*Looking for a home*

Apollo is a 2 year older German Shepherd. I had him for two weeks of training in December 2019. His owner reached out to me because she unfortunately needs to rehome him. He is crate trained, house trained, and leash trained. The owner has told me that he barks and growls at new people. During his time with me he was taught sit, down, stay, come, heel, and place. We also addressed some fear based reactivity. I can not speak to his current behavior as I haven’t seen him since his go home lesson, but I would imagine his issues should be fairly easily addressed by an experienced owner and I would be happy to help get him back on track.

Rocky’s first week here has been challenging. After several attempts to bite me, he has been wearing his muzzle for safety. We had a small breakthrough today and he settled on place for the first time. We’ve got a long way to go but will continue working towards getting Rocky into a better state of mind.

Jack went home a few days ago and I got this message from his owners this morning. “Good Morning, I wanted to share this video with you. I haven’t walked Jack by myself in months because he pulled so badly but last night I had the best walk with him around the neighborhood. He didn’t pull once. Thank you so much.” Love getting messages like this!

Two weeks ago Truckee and Auburn’s owner was struggling to even walk them individually. Now she can confidently take them both out together without having to worry about being pulled all over the place!

Harold’s third day with the ecollar! I know this video looks similar to the last one I posted of him, but that’s the point. Harold is a happy and engaged dog, adding in an ecollar shouldn’t change that! The ecollar is simply a tool. A tool itself cannot make your dog fearful and dejected, you only reach those results through poor use of a tool. This is why it’s so important to seek out the guidance of a reputable trainer if you’re interested in collar training for your dog!
