Texas Amateur Rodeo Association Texas Amateur Rodeo Association aka T.A.R.A. holds local rodeo events at the WCSP Arena in Georgetown, TX Let me introduce you to our family. My name is Crystal.

Texas Amateur Rodeo Association (TARA) was an association designed to bring more rodeo events to the hill country and surrounding areas back in 2007. We (The Mattice Family) purchased the TARA in 2011 because of our love for rodeo and barrel racing. We wanted to bring the association back to the WCSP Arena in Georgetown, TX and give cowgirls a barrel race that is affordable and fun for the entire

family. Chris is the President and announcer at the race. He works side by side with our ground crew to make the ground the best possible at each and every race. We are always giving him a hard time about running for dog catcher because he's the one you will see shaking hands and kissing babies around the arena. I like to hide in the office behind the computer and of course pass out those winnings. It excites me to see our participates show up every week and when we are at another race I'm the one checking in to see how you did. Courtney is our oldest daughter. She has now started college and is barrel racing on the NIRA. You will still see her around the races down stairs on her horse waiting for her turn. Jessica is our youngest daughter. When she's not cheering at a football game, she's racing her 25 year old horse at the races or bouncing around the race in her shorts and boots or working in the office. Wesley is our oldest son. You will find him on the assistant ground crew/barrel setter. He spends about 5 hours in that arena a week to make sure the race and barrels are moving along in a timely manner. Cooper is our youngest son. You don't see him around there a lot because a five year old is hard to handle while we are working. He thinks he's the brains behind all of this and he does give us a lot of ideas for the other kids, such as buckle giveaways, cupcakes on my birthday to everyone and glow sticks to the kids. You can thank him for these and next year look out for his favorite Stick Pony Races and Dummy Roping at the arena. We look forward to meeting each of you!! It’s official! After many hours of working with some great people who believe in our vision WCSP will have a forever home in Jarrell, TX.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the City of Jarrell will now be the FOREVER home to the WILLIAMSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S POSSE RODEO and Arena! Thanks to the phenomenal generosity of the SOLANA RANCH !!! The Michaux family is in the process of donating the land, which is located on CR 305, very near the Memorial Park. So if you see Kirk or Mike Michaux or any of their family PLEASE let them know what this means to our community and heritage!! A special thank you to Mr. Charles Ashby for helping facilitate this donation and relocation.

WCSP is very proud to have so many in the community to see, believe in and help our vision become reality.

Gun Raffle tickets are available for the 75th WCSP Rodeo in Georgetown on June 22-23. You can purchase tickets from and member or at the rodeo. You don’t want to miss out on this raffle or the last rodeo in Georgetown.

CANCELLED!!!

Due to a conflict at the arena we will have to cancel the 7 County Shoot-out.

We understand that the priority at the WCSP Arena is the rodeo. The arena will have workers present all weekend and a lot of things being moved around and fixed. This will only make it better for us in the future.
