Meet Carter and Lincoln!

They are young boys, and brothers, with great personalities. ❤ They are also doing great with the family dog and do not mind being groomed by him! Carter is adventurous and curious- loves to run, explore and climb on things. As a young bunny, he is still working on his litter habits but he'll get there. He is very easy going and affectionate! Lincoln is a sweet boy but prefers the company of his brother, over humans and the foster dog! These two are inseparable and love to snuggle.

Sesame Seed is a shy but curious boy with lots of energy and a love of exploring! He is warming up more by the day and becoming comfortable with human interaction. He would do best with a seasoned bunny owner who is willing to work on his nibbling habits (of furniture and fingers), and getting him more used to being pet. He loves zoomies and will binky when given space to run. He is a fast learner with excellent litter box habits and a sweet temperament!

Athena is the goddess of lounging, playing, and clean litter box habits! Athena loves to be around people and will run to put her paws up on the pen to beg you to spend time with her. She loves to play with her stacking cups and will perform feats of strength by picking up things with her teeth and throwing them.

Please note: she accepts treats in lieu of cash tips. Athena is still getting used to a human touch but after a couple minutes of warming up to you, she will lay on the floor for pets. She will occasionally nip at hands as she adjusts to getting love so she would do best in a home without young children. She would love to be a free roam bun or have enough space to run around and show off!

Meet Art, a charming middle-aged gentleman looking for his forever home! Art is sweet-natured, gentle, and loves his routine. He has good litter box habits here in his condo. While Art may not be a fan of being handled just yet, he is a patient bunny who could certainly warm up to it over time with positive reinforcement and a gentle approach.

Art has participated in some "speed dating" sessions with other bunnies and it's clear he's eager to find a bunny companion to share his life with. He's social and loves the company of other rabbits, so if you have a bunny friend already, Art would likely fit in well and bring even more joy to your home!

Thank you to all who came to our Winter Bunderland! We had so much fun unwinding with our beautiful quartet, enjoying the company of our friends, and petting some adorable bunnies.

We've chosen to highlight a few photos here for you - the first is Maverick! Remember when Maverick first came to us? His paws were RAW and infected from poor husbandry in his previous home (if you're brave, head to the comments of Mav's solo pic for the photo...). From being listed as "free" on Craigslist to getting his photos taken at Winter Bunderland by his loving family - this boy won BIG! Have a beautiful first holiday season sweet Maverick

She is quick to greet your feet as she gets EXTREMELY happy to see you when you are putting her food down! She has a box she loves to sit up on, and a hassock she loves to sit under. She's really laid back, and not super playful. She is absolutely ✨boo-tiful.✨

Welcome our Darling Darla to our rescue ❤️

When Darla’s owner accepted that her own age made it challenging to properly care for her bunny, she passed her to another home. Well, that home passed her to another home.. and finally someone knew something was really wrong with her and sought help from bunny experts.

Darla smelt… awful. The pus that was crusted all in her fur was old and pungent. This well meaning family only had her for 2 days and they tried bathing her to help with the smell (Please do not bathe rabbits unless under vet supervision! We recognize that these kind humans were trying to provide her comfort and their gentleness made it possible for Darla to make it to us). Her eyes were crusted shut and her lungs sounded crackly when she breathed.

We started her on pain medication and antibiotics the day she got to us. Now, she’s showing us that she has a will to live! She looks so much better, no longer smells, and can see now. She can breathe much easier and she sleeps soundly.

She’s not out of the woods yet. One of her eyes is bulging and cloudy and her infection still needs to clear. Thankfully she’s here, and she’s safe with us.

It takes a village to save these bunnies. Darla is lucky to have run into the kindest humans in her travels - we are going to give her the best chance at a healthy, happy future ❤️

This big girl is over 9 lbs but that just means there is more to love. This breathtaking beauty has been through a lot, being found alone and abandoned until some amazing volunteers rescued her. She has been healing from the inside out and she is such a sweetie pie! It’s been such an amazing transformation.

It’s so hard when we hear from our foster home’s that an adopter who was interested in their bun has fallen through. Especially for a bunny like Shelby - REWs (Ruby eyes white) already have a hard time being chosen. The entire team cheered when Shelby had an interested adopter. And the excitement quickly faded when her foster announced that she is still looking for a home because the applicant withdrew. Honestly, while this was a sad bump in Shelby’s story - it’s much better that she wasn’t taken by someone who wasn’t ready for her. We want her to find a home that lasts forever - every bunny deserves that! So maybe this post will find her the fairy tale turn she deserves! Share with your friends & family - you never know who will want to open their homes & hearts to a REW like sweet Shelby. Her foster writes: Sweet girl Shelby is patiently waiting for her forever home. She would love a bunny bond mate or a human to love forever! She’s very gentle and doesn’t mind being handled. Shelby loves to binky and explore! She’s very curious and always welcoming for pets. She loves her hay and knows how to use the litter box! The House Rabbit Network is an organization in the greater Boston area formed in 2000 with two primary purposes: to rescue homeless rabbits and find them good indoor homes, and to educate the public about rabbits and their care. These activities may include:

providing foster care for discarded domestic rabbits and arranging for adoption to permanent, indoor homes;

assisting humane societies and shelters with rabbits;

providing spay/neuter surgery and veterinary care through arrangements with area practitioners;
