I have been pet sitting, dog walking, as well as helping with leash training and housebreaking for neighbors, friends and family for many years. I have always really enjoyed it and found myself wanting to pursue it as a business. I officially formed my business, Gentle Lead Pet Care, LLC, in the spring of 2011 and I also worked full time at another job. In May of 2013 I decided to quit my full time job and do pet sitting, dog walking & training full time. After several wintery, cold winters walking dogs in Virginia, I decided, along with my little black pug, Otis, to move south to sunny Florida! I’ve worked at three different animal hospitals, one in VA, one in Maine, where I am originally from and one down here in Florida. I recently changed jobs from the the Vet’s in Venice to Pet Supplies Plus in North Port, which is much closer to my home in North Port and better hours for pet sitting. My goal is to build my pet sitting business down here in order to only have to work part-time at an outside job. I love being home with the animals. I am certified in Pet CPR and first aid. I can pet sit your dog in my home and/or if you have other pets that need care, I will go to your home! We can discuss that more in detail in person! "Trish is amazing!
