Please spread the word so we can reunite this found cat with its family! FOUND on December 8, 2024 in New Boston, TX 75570 near Dogwood Housing/Short Street
Description: Extremely friendly and loving, intact, male tabby cat with a purple flea collar. He showed up at my doorstep, soaking wet, freezing cold, into 32° and dropping weather Sunday evening. I brought him inside and put him in a dog crate that we have and that has a soft pillow bed, and I fixed them up some hot food and some water and a little poopy box. He was very well behaved and very grateful to get in and be dried off and warm. I let him out the next morning, hoping that I had just been a stopping point for the night and that he would find his . That hasn’t happened every night since then he has shown up at my back door, crying, and begging to be let in… So of course, I have brought him in and put him back in the dog crate. And in the morning, I’ve let him back out again the past two nights, he has had diarrhea. I’m not sure if it’s stress or if he is genuinely sick. Either way I had to throw the bedding that I had for him away and now all I have are some old T-shirts. I really can’t keep him although he is such a loving sweet little man. But since he had a flea collar, I believe he has a somewhere close by and I’m sure they are missing him. I would like to get this little man back to his owner because I know he would be happy with that as well. I am taking him to a vet in the morning, and will have him checked for a microchip, as well as checked out for a little spot on his whiskers to make sure that it is not a ringworm, and to bring up the diarrhea, which, thankfully, seems to have stopped as of tonight so far when I brought him in and put him in the crate. If you know of anyone who is missing this sweet little boy, please put them in contact with me, or Mrs. Susan Elaine Moore so that we can try to get this little man back . On a sidenote, Mrs. Susan runs FixTXK, an organization that assists with cost associated with spaying and neutering. Miss Susan runs this group entirely by herself and exists on donations. Since this little man is intact and about four months old, pretty soon he’s gonna figure out what to do with his equipment and will be creating unwanted kittens through no fault of his own. Hopefully who ever this young man belongs to will get with Mrs. Susan and schedule him a neutering appointment.
