Today was the day that Butters played like a puppy. There were better moments than the one I captured here, but it's a little taste. He's starting to get along well with the other dogs. Butters is really starting to look quite pretty now and he's become quite affectionate with me.
And now for a Butters update...
Butters has been with me for 2 weeks now and I'm beginning to see a lot of improvement. I can see muscles starting to pop on his legs and shoulders, and he has a little tummy now. A couple of times I have caught glimpses of a puppy emerging, but it's fleeting. He still won't let his guard down. He lets me pet him and snuggle him and kiss his face. He'll still snap at my hand - rarely, but it does occur - but it's mostly playful (mostly. we're working on that). He doesn't intend any harm, he's quite happy. He's learning to be patient when he's fed. He still has significant food issues, but we're working on that, too.
