Burlington really went all out with the snow today...and there’s more on the way this weekend! Anyone else thinking it might be time to trade in our cars for sled dogs?

Just a quick reminder—during heavy snow events, the city restricts street parking so plows can do their job. If we’re scheduled to visit your pup during a city-declared snow event, please ensure there’s a cleared spot in your driveway for us to park. If no parking is available, unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel the visit.

For safety reasons, if icy sidewalks or deep snow make your pup’s usual walk unsafe, we’ll adjust accordingly. If we can reach your home, we’ll take them out for a quick potty break and spend the rest of the visit playing indoors. Also, please allow some flexibility with your pup’s scheduled walk time as we navigate winter conditions.

Heads up friends! Tick season is here in Ontario, and there's been a big spike in Lyme disease-carrying ticks. These tiny pests love hanging out in wooded and grassy areas, ready to hitch a ride on you or your furry friend.

🐾 Pet Safety Tips:
Check your pets for ticks regularly, especially after they've been outdoors.
Use tick prevention treatments recommended by your vet.
If you find a tick, remove it carefully with fine-tipped tweezers, pulling straight up without crushing it.

🐾 Stay Tick-Free:
When you're out and about, wear long sleeves and pants.
Stick to the center of trails and avoid brushing against tall grass and bushes.

🐾 Lyme Disease Alert:
For Lyme disease transmission, a tick needs to be attached for over 24 hours.
If you or your dog get bitten, watch for symptoms like fever, headaches, joint pain, and a bull’s-eye rash. Early detection is crucial to prevent serious health issues.
