Say hello to Tio! 5 or 6 yrs, neutered, UTD on shots, HWneg, chipped. Aloof at first...warms fast. Tio is a chow who could be heart-dog for some middle-aged lady.......he has a background of being a self taught service dog who alerts to low blood sugar and on-coming seizures......not trained but fell into it when his owner became ill. Otherwise he is initially aloof but cooperative, loves string cheese(you're part of his circle then)......a typical chow. Lovely looking fellow, too, for those who like a bit of eye candy. Say Hello to Millie! Millie is a beautiful young lady Chow approximately 2 to 3 years old and is UTD with her vaccines, Heartworm and Lyme Disease all negative.

Millie was found in Freeport, Illinois in August. She was very shy in the beginning but now goes to people for petting. She knows some commands and she loves string cheese!

Millie likes brushing and had her nails done recently during her vetting and her coat is quite lovely! Millie is now located in Red Oak, Iowa.

Say "Hello" to our Honorary Chow Howie!

Howie is a 4 year Black Lab who needs a new home as his family is having medical issues.

Howie is up to date on his shots, crate trained, a decent walker(but could do better) still has minor accidents in the house, LOVES baths and his piggy toy! He's been around cats but not a fan and his presence around other dogs is to bark at them! He gets along wonderfully with kids, but does have some food aggression. Howie has all his medical records and paperwork to be registered as his family didn't file them.

Howie is intact and will be neutered when he's adopted! Howie needs a new home very soon!

Meet Caesar!

Looke at this beautiful boy! He is located at Lakeshore Humane Society in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

He is housetrained and very sweet. He has lived with children 7 and over but no other animals. He is UTD on all vaccinations and altered. Caesar really needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving home.

MEET BEAR! Located in Mandan ND. Bear was born May 31st 2019 making him 5 years old. Bear is being rehomed by his current family to no fault of his own. Bears family had some changes and we are here to help. He is typical chow and shy at first and will bark then approach eventually for pets. He’s not a huge treat guy but will eventually eat it. He is in very typical chow fashion an aloof guy with some cat like characteristics. He’s shy but will warm up. Inside his recall is good, outside not so much. He gets along with female dogs. His vetting is current and he is neutered. I will be screening for the current owner so if you are interested in Bear please message me directly and if I don’t respond fairly quick please tag me on the post. I’m finding out if he’s been around cats and if he exhibits prey drive. Then I’ll update some more.

BIO: was seen running loose around a recreation area lake. Rescue person trapped him, found he was good about handling. She put him in boarding after a vet visit for vaccines/wormer; and reported to the local animal control that she had him. Someone said they knew his family and rescue person tried to call them for days, but family made no attempt to return calls. He may have been dumped at the lake. The legal time for owner reclaim is expired.

Breed- chow chow

Age- 2 yrs per vet

S*x- intact male

Weight- 48 lb very thin

Microchipped: no

Shots UTD- yes dhpp, bordetella, rabies

Parasite prevention……….wormed

Rabies tag and certificate- yes

Health Certificate- (yes if needed)

Spayed/Neutered no

General behavior: accepting of handling, cooperative, good on leash, accepting of brushing and was good about pulling stickers out of coat, even did not object to them pulling an embedded/infected sticker out of top of paw

Good with other dogs yes.....according to kennel…and was good around other dogs while waiting at vet office

Good with cats- unknown

Good with kids- was very good with 11yr old girl and someone thought he came from a family with kids

Housetrained- yes

Crate Trained- yes

Rides well in car- yes
