f u n f a c t ☕️ Not that anyone needs another reason to love these cute animals but did you know that goats are said to be the first ones to have discovered the coffee bean?
Ethiopian legend says that goat herder Kaildi noticed after his goats ate the berries from a certain tree, they became super energetic and couldn’t sleep at night. After sharing his discovery with a local, the local made a drink with the berries and noted that he felt more alert and could stay up longer at night. And so coffee was discovered! So, as you sip on your morning coffee, say a little “thank you” to these cuties!

o u r h e r d 🐐 I think goats are like tattoos- once you commit to one, you just can’t stop yourself and you NEED more! I mean, I don’t have any tattoos but our little herd started out with two, then four, now we have six and are waiting on four more (once they are ready to leave their mom) and then well, before you know it we will have 36! 😂 And from what I’m told, that’s how it happens with tattoos!

o u r g a r d e n 🥕 Who else is taking advantage of these rainy days to plan out your garden? Any must haves that you plant every year? This year we are going to completely revamp our garden beds, expand and switch up a few things…. Because I’d rather have fresh cut flowers on my kitchen table all summer long then hundreds of vegetables that I can’t eat before going bad! 🤪

b a s i l 🌱 How do you come up with names for your kids? Any rhyme or reason? Did they come with names? Basil was named after a black bear at our local zoo. I took my kids one weekend and fell in love with the name. At the time I thought it would be the name of our next dog, but life took us on this new adventure and Basil become the name of one of our sweet goats!
