Specialty Pet Treats by Joan is a local business baking healthy pet treats for dogs and cats. All of the meat is cooked, usually on the BBQ.

The treats are baked with real food using the same, quality ingredients as we would eat. The vegetables are also cooked and softened prior to mixing and baking. Joan has been a pet owner for most of her life and currently has 2 large, rescue dogs, Luke and Bella. Joan believes that pets are family members and deserve to be treated with the same care and attention as the rest of the family. She sta

rted baking treats for her own dogs and others in 2016. When people started asking to buy them, Joan opened Joan’s Specialty Pet Treats in 2017. All of the pet treats are made from meat and/or vegetables and with or without grains and baked in small batches
Joan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and a Masters in Education and worked in the food regulatory industry for over 35 years. Being familiar with the requirements for food manufacture, Joan takes the same care in buying, baking and packaging Joan’s Specialty Pet Treats to make them safe and savoury. Dogs drool and cats meow just at the sight of these treats!
