I've been busy. And I do appreciate all my customers. I've had a lot of long standing customers and I'm forever grateful for them. Unfortunately I've had some new clients book appointments and then cancel less than 24 notices. With that being said I'm busy and it's very inconvenient as that appointment could have been filled or I could have taken that time for family and made plans. I can understand things come up. Cars break down kids are sick ECT. But hearing my horse isn't sore anymore or I don't think they need it anymore id starting to get tiresome. My day time job requires a non refundable deposit to hold appointments and I'm fixing to start requiring it as well. I try to not be a soap box but as much as I try to keep my weekends open for family the next two weekends are weddings and appointments to keep up as the demand is high to fit everyone in before fairs and shows. So please plan ahead as it's been pretty consistent being booked up 2 weeks out. If you insist that it's that important I squeeze you in I will be applying a emergency fee.

Beautiful day! Flowers are looking good, horses massages and taped up. Taped one because horse is still not happy while working over her rib shelf, and taped and bemer for the other horse showing signs of colic. Great morning now to go clean stalls and be ready for a lesson tonight.

Hi I would like to reintroduce myself to anyone new to my page. My name is Katti ( Katti Jo ) and I've had horses for 28 years now. In 2004 I took a very basic equine chiropractic course as part of my science credit for highschool ( I was homeschool my senior year ) through that course it really increased my interest in the equine body and the mechanics. In 2018 I expanded my knowledge in taking a course of equine sports massage and equine rehabilitation. From there I added rain drop therapy ( essential oils) kinesiology and bemer therapy.
I'm located in liberty center Ohio ( NW Ohio ) and I also offer in house rehab services.

It's show season. If you haven't had any body work done in your horse now is the time. If you have been working hard all winter they are in need. Horses in full or partial training they should at minimum be done every 4 weeks to perform their best.

I got to play with tape today! I think his body favors the blue color as that's the one that's sticking the best. Will go back to better clean the surface to pull up dirt and oils better. I decided to do a large intestine tape today as this horse just came back from impaction. Next session I will do stomach support.

frequent daily movement is incredibly important for horses. Weather can really put a damper on getting horses turned out from time to time with extreme cold to extreme wet conditions.

The horses we have today evolved from small flight animals that were created to be in constant motion.

The physiology of those vs the horses we have now are likely very similar, and it is unlikely that the structure and the functional capacity of the digestive systems have changed a great deal.

One study of wild horses found them to be walking between 6 to 8 kilometres (3.5 to 5 miles) per 16 hour day, although it must be understood that if food is limited or scarce, horses can travel 30 kilometres (18 miles) a day.

Keeping horses stalled with minimal time for exercise and training can lead to compromised digestive tracts.

I'm thankful to have clients that are open to trying different rehab methods! Although the vet is unsure of the actual reasoning behind compaction, he came home with a great care plan and is recovering well.
