K9 Crazy Puppy Rescue is a foster home network that provides a safe and loving environment to stray, orphaned, and owner surrendered moms and puppies on their journey to their furever homes.
Amaryllis was adopted yesterday by Stacey and her family. Stacey is a repeat adopter and was drawn to Amaryllis due to her being a great candidate for therapy work. Stacey takes her current dog to the local college every Friday for two hours to help the students decompress. We know Amaryllis is going to thrive with her new family! Congrats to this expanded K9 Crazy family!
Yesterday Amaryllis went to Widener Commonwealth Law School to provide some stress relief to the students who were finishing their second exam. She gave lots of kisses and happily accepted tummy rubs. She had such a fun time finishing her “work” day at Dauphin County Bar Association, but she may have fallen asleep on the job. We think Amaryllis would be an amazing therapy dog!
As promised, more pics of Amaryllis. She is a playful and active puppy. This girl has some serious smarts, like mensa!!!!! She appears to be a lab/pit mix, but tends to look and act more like a lab. She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, had parasite prevention, and been vet checked.

Peony was adopted this morning by the Rodriguez family. They loved Peony's affectionate and sweet personality. Peony is going to be busy keeping up with their two children, especially their son. Peony and her sister were found along a road in Louisiana by one of our rescue partners. They have been in foster homes since their arrival to rescue and are acclimating well. Both puppies are smart as a whip and are doing really incredible with potty and crate training! They love playing with toys and the rest of our pack. Given their likely breeds, they are active dogs and would enjoy a home with lots of activity. They would do best in homes with older children or dog savvy kiddos as they can be a bit of a bulldozer when they play. They love to give kisses - you just have to watch out for the lick lick chomp when they get excited. In short they are typical puppies - full of enthusiasm and excited to explore the world.
Amaryllis is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, has had parasite prevention, and has been vet checked.

It has been way too long since we have had puppies. But a string of heartbreaking posts by a fantastic rescue partner in LA got me thinking that it was finally time to get back to being part of the solution for animals in need. Welcome Poeny and Amaryllis to the K9 Crazy family. They will be available for adoption soon, so please feel free to share them far and wide. More details coming soon on personality and behaviors but they would be a great addition to most families.
Today was the most amazing day for K9 Crazy Puppy Rescue - Angelina was adopted by the Rein/Goedecker family! They are repeat adopters - you may recognize their hunk of a dog as the one and only Captain. They were looking for an active female who would enjoy some serious rough housing. Captain and Angelina hit it off immediately - it was like they were long lost friends. We are so immensely happy for Angelina - she seriously hit the doggie jackpot with her new family!
Angelina is still looking for her family. She has been excellent with the youngest dog in our pack - she loves rough and tumble play. She is relentless and uses her head as a battering ram. She is also discovering new and interesting things around the house and yard - like the leaf blower. The one picture is of her hippo face with her jowls all puffed out as she was protecting us from the leaf blower.
Angelina is a pittie mix and was mom to the gorgeous blue and black puppies that were adopted around the beginning of the year. She has been with us for a while and we would LOVE to get her settled into a home she can call her own. Angelina is an athletic and active dog and would love a companion to wrestle and play with. She is strong - built like a spark plug! She is excellent in a car and working on her leash manners. Angelina also does well in a crate. She loves hard chew toys and rolling on the turf. She is dog friendly but I would not trust her with a cat. We are not recommending her for a home with small children due to her strength and propensity for jumping unless your children are accustomed to land hippos. Angelina is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. Gigi has found her family! On Sunday she met Alyssa and Kelly and has since joined their family. They were looking for a sweet and playful dog that would be excited to go camping with them, go for walks, and just lounge around. Unfortunately, we didn't get a family photo so this snoot pic will have to do. Massive congrats to Gigi for finding her K9 Crazy family!

Meet Gigi! She is the mom to the fox terrier/tall hound puppies who just went out the door. Gigi is playful and super affectionate. Her favorite thing to do is roll on the turf and get belly rubs. She loves the chew toys too - she flings them in the air, flops on them, and rolls all over them as if to claim them as all hers. She is excellent in the car and respectful on a leash. But, she is a bit nervous around other dogs (lacking confidence), so we are looking to place her in a home where she can be the queen of the domain (read - only dog). She has not been cat tested, but pretty much ignores squirrels in the yard. She is medium sized but has that tall and lean structure of the tall hounds. Gigi is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, on preventative medications, and has been vet checked multiple times. The princess litter (black lab/hounds) is enjoying this beautiful crisp afternoon with puppy play time with most of the resident K9 Crazies. All four princesses remain available for adoption.

Barkley is still looking for his family. He is a medium sized mixed breed dog. Barkley is dog friendly and seems to really enjoy the company of the dogs in our pack that are close to his size (medium and small). Barkley is very reserved towards humans and seems to choose one person as "his". Barkley's ideal home would be calm and quiet - maybe a single person or empty nesters. He is not outwardly affectionate, but enjoys being close to his humans (at your feet or leaning against you). He has been vet checked multiple times, dewormed, has had flea and heartworm prevention, is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Kelsie is still looking for her furever home. She is a young adult pit mix with uppy ears. Kelsie could best be described as acrobatic - she is AGILE! Kelsie really thrives on human affection but is pretty ambivalent about other dogs. Her ideal home would allow her to be queen of the world so we are looking for a home where she would be the only dog. Her wiggle butt is pronounced, so you have to be ready for that pittie happy tail! I can see Kelsie enjoying a home where someone does mudder runs or tr ains for cross fit - she is that kind of gal . . . strong, athletic, and always up for an adventure. ADOPTED!!!! This sweet little guy is still looking for his permanent pack. Brown (who we affectionately call Chi Chi) is a 10 lb male chihuahua, approximately 1 year old. But, he packs a LOT of personality in that little body. He is house and crate trained (though he doesn't love being in his crate). He is great with kids (not nippy) and loves other dogs (both big and small). He would be a great addition to most homes - he is super happy in our large pack of dogs, but I can also see him enjoying time in a family as a lap dog.
