We are in need of Adult Dry Dog Food.
These are the brands we used and places nearby we can pick up from. Our local Walmart is Tallassee, AL and our Local Tractor Supply is also Tallassee, AL.
As you can see Amazon is much more expensive for less. If you would like to help us out by ordering us some dog food please consider making a Walmart or Tractor Supply order for us and we can go pick it up. Just put LMAR as the pick up person or myself Jennie Zinn.

Horrible. Alabama needs change. Our state laws are allowing this problem to continue to worsen. It's pathetic.

PAHS has taken in 159 pets since the first of June. Please spay and neuter your pets. If you have lost a pet, please call our staff between 11-4 at 334-358-2882 to file a lost report.

This is a reminder to please do your research before getting a new dog. Do not get any dog that requires grooming if you are not able to financially make that happen. And do not get a dog if you are already stretched thin for time. If you are too busy to do things you want to do then adding on another animal is not for you. It's like having another child when you already can't afford the ones you have. Please just Don't do it. Dogs come with expenses. They need your time and attention, then need vet care, then need toys and most need some type of training. If you don't have the time to spend with a dog, train a dog, and properly provide for a dog then DO NOT get a dog!!

We are working with the community, our vet, and local law enforcement to rectify the overpopulation of cats and kittens in our area.
If you have seen random strays in your neighborhood please help us get them all fixed so the reproduction can stop. Sponsor a cat today and help us solve these issues. We are currently working with two colonies of cats and we can't fix them all without the help from the community for funding. For every $105 received one cat can be spayed and given it rabies vaccine and released back to its colony. Ways to donate are below

Anyone looking for a young beautiful kitty? Please share

Home needed!

With our recent trapping and relocating of the Slapout kitties, this one I am very particular about the home that it goes to. This gorgeous kitty is approximately 1 yr old. I originally named this kitty Fisher, because I was told it went fishing daily on the dock at Lake Jordan.

However, we were in for a surprise. Fisher is a girl! A beautiful orange tabby! I renamed her Cayenne, because initially she was a little spicy!

So I am hunting for a home for her to fish. If you have that, or knows of a place....please reach out to me!!! She's not aggressive. She just doesn't want to be handled.

We are looking for a few sponsors for our upcoming event.
Please consider supporting your local Animal Rescue as we are very small and rely on local donors to keep us helping the community. Although we can only take in a few dogs at a time we have been able to save over 1000 animals in the last eight years from all over the tri county area with our community programs, outreach, and intakes.

This morning Debra McGaha Perdue and I released the mockingbird that she found in her lawnmower as a nestling. This bird was just a little one when she found it and brought it over to me. With lots of messaging and phone calls I was able to find the Wildlife center and they were able to accept her. Once she became ready for release they reached back out to us to come pick her back up. She is now back where she originally came from and we hope she finds her family today.
