Misfits, Mutts & Meows The main purpose of Misfits, Mutts and Meows Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is to provide a humane alternative for abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets.

We provide medical care, food and love to those we take in. My husband and I have been rescuing animals for about 15 years by working with other rescue groups and then starting our own back in 2010. We received out 501(c)3 non profit status in 2012. We work with our community to find homes for stray and unwanted dogs and cats. We want every animal to find the perfect home. Our local friends are a

great help in getting to word out on those in need of homes. We are an environmentally friendly rescue. We utilize both veterinary medicine and natural healing to ensure the health of our animals.

If there's one thing I've learned photographing cats (currently at over 300), it's that tuxedo cats really don't care for modeling. I don't think I've had a single tuxedo adult that relished the experience.

But go check out Shirley's portraits. She looks good here on green, but you simply MUST see her on yellow! http://bit.ly/4aF8TrF.

Shirley is from Misfits, Mutts & Meows.

More of our new kids! They will be ready soon!

Our doggy bonded pair are a bit older, their owner also passed. They are about 8 yrs old but still full of s***k. Meet Andy and Barney. Barney does have a bit of anxiety. They know how to use a doggy door and are good with other dogs. They are a bit interested in cats, but I think with proper intros they would do fine.

Our next bonded pair is a set of older kitties whose owner had passed away. Katie and Cassie are sweet kitties looking for a quiet home to call their own. They are as bit picky in the feeding department. Don't seem to mind cat friendly dogs and other cats.

We have a number of bonded pairs looking for their furever homes. Our youngest is a pair of cats now just over 1 yr old. Their names are Groot and Rocket. They are sweet boy kitties with a minor defect in their eyes. Their irises are weak, and the pupils don't contract like a normal cat but otherwise they are happy playful kids. We affectionately call them our little aliens!

Sometimes I have people adopt a kitty & return within a couple days because well the reasons come down to not giving the time needed to adjust

Meet Pete! This mature guy is 8 yrs old and has spent his entire life living outside. He is so happy to be an indoor/outdoor dog now. He is learning the idea of being house trained. He is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. He is such a sweet and happy boy. He is a bit lumpy but nothing to worry about.

Update on Marlee, she is spending a bit more time at Mabel Bassett. The trainer she was with didn't get all her commands completed so they will be working on those for another week or so. We also dropped off Sheba to begin training and help her gain some confidence.
We have an application on Marlee so keep her in your thoughts!
