This winter, the government is giving an extra £300 to people who receive Pension Credit to support older people with the cost of living.

Pension Credit tops up the income of those who have reached state pension age and are on a low income. You could get Pensions Credit even if you have other sources of income or savings. Getting Pension Credit may mean you can also get support with housing costs, council tax and heating bills, as well as to the Cost of Living Payment.

If you are of State Pension age or over, you can apply for Pension Credit at any time. And if you apply by 10 December you could get the extra £300 Cost of Living Payment.

As Eric Pollard's storyline progressed in Emmerdale tonight, we understand that it might have been a hard watch for some people.

A Parkinson’s diagnosis, for you or a family member, means facing a different future to the one you imagined. Everyone’s reaction will be different, but no one is alone with Parkinson’s.

We’re here for everyone affected by the condition with our information and support https://prksn.uk/467DytM

Thanks for sharing your story Ron

Thanks for sharing your story Ron

Taking part in research can sound daunting, but without it we simply can't get to new treatments for Parkinson's.

For Ron, this was enough to encourage him to take part.
